Pudel Bad Beats Kim Two Away From the Money

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Gab Yong Kim
Gab Yong Kim

Bruno Desimoni opened the action with a raise to 25,000 in the hijack and Gab Yong Kim pushed all-in on the button for 205,000. Nils Pudel tanked for more than two minutes in the small blind, glanced over at Desimoni's stack and the tournament info before placing a single chip for the call, Desimoni folded.

The other tables finished their hands and the cards were revealed.

Gab Yong Kim: AK
Nils Pudel: AQ

There were some groans from bystanders when the Q appeared in the window followed by the 82. Nothing changed with the 3 since neither player had a club in their hand. The 2 fell on the river and Kim was eliminated two spots away from the money, the field is now on the stone bubble.

Rezaei Crushes Cimbolas Set Over Set

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Matas Cimbolas
Matas Cimbolas

With around 140,000 in the pot on a board of 47QK, Daniel Rezaei bet 135,000 from the cutoff and Matas Cimbolas called on the button.

The river came the 2 and Rezaei moved all in. Cimbolas snap-called for his last 330,000 and turned over 77 for a set. Rezaei, though, had KK for top set to bust Cimbolas just short of the money.

Armin Rezaei was just moved to this table directly to the left of his brother.

"You can ask not to play with each other," Jonathan Pastore said.

"It's even more fun because we go super-hard against each other," Armin replied.

"I would bubble my own mother. There's no friends at the poker table," Daniel added.

Alexandridis Survives; Eljach Wins a Pot

Level 17 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Symeon Alexandridis flipped with JJ against ace-ten and made a straight on the 1094QK runout to stay in contention.

Less fortunate were Timothy Adams, Adi Rajkovic and Athanasios Kidas as they all bowed out in quick succession.

Omar Eljach then had a portion of his stack in against previous nemesis Jacob Amsellem when he check-called a bet of 75,000 by the Frenchman on the 6446 turn. The 7 river was checked and Eljach tabled the JJ, Amsellem mucked his 22 with a big smile on the face.

The field is now down to just 126 players and the money bubble is right around the corner.
