Hamani Bets Out Kurtes on the River

Three-handed on a flop of J9K, Marko Kurtes bet 16,000 from under the gun and was called by both button Zaki Hamani and small blind Nacho Barbero.

The turn was the 4 and action checked to Hamani, who fired out 55,000. Barbero folded, but Kurtes called to see the 2 river.

Hamani then bet 180,000 and Kurtes eventually folded after considering the decision for a minute.

Lee Leaves the Field

Armin Rezaei made a raise to 20,000 from middle position before Jin-Hoon Lee put in his last 105,000 chips from the button. The action eventually folded back to Rezaei, who took one last look at his cards before committing calling chips to the middle.

Nguyen Runs Out of Chips Against Hamani

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Phi Nguyen jammed his short stack of around 13 big blinds out of the small blind and Zaki Hamani called in the big blind.

The 643 flop gave Nguyen an additional gutshot but the K turn and A river let the kicker play, sending Nguyen to the rail shy of the money on Day 3.

Final Ace Appears on Flop

Level 16 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Michael Rocco and Fabian Gumz had gathered 120,000 chips preflop in a three-bet pot when Rocco bet 25,000 from the small blind on a board of 810A. Gumz then thought for a while before jamming for 98,000 and a snap call followed from Rocco.

The fourth and final ace in the deck had found its way to the flop and had Rocco drawing to runner-runner-Broadway. However, the board bricked out for him and Gumz secured the double-up.

In a battle of the blinds to the J64 flop, Axel Hallay checked and subsequently called a bet of 30,000 by Andras Nemeth. They opted to check through the 5 turn and Hallay bet the 6 river for 100,000.

Nemeth called after brief consideration and mucked when he was shown the Q6 for trips sixes.

Moments later, Dorian Melchers exited the tournament area from one table over.

Pagliuso Wakes Up With Kings

Lars Kamphues raised to 20,000 in early position before Kuljinder Sidhu moved all in for 260,000 next to act. The table folded around to big blind Alessandro Pagliuso and he stuck in his last 151,000, while Kamphues folded.

Pagliuso had picked up kings and was a big favorite to double up as the board came A36QQ, giving him the pot and leaving Sidhu on a short stack.

Descultu Survives Again; Burlacu Doubles

Claudiu Descultu was then all-in with a similar short stack and in trouble, holding the A3 against Jacob Amsellem, who revealed AK. Descultu spiked a trey on the J93A5 runout to double.

Moments later, Iman Ghashayar was spotted on the way out of the tournament area as his stack was pushed to Leon Sturm.
