Andreas Frohli raised to 10,000 in the hijack. Small blind Vladimer Gigolashvili then went all in for 52,000 and Rachid El Yaacoubi quickly rejammed from the big blind, covering both players.
Frohli folded, leaving himself 28 big blinds behind.
Vladimer Gigolashvili: A♣Q♣
Rachid El Yaacoubi: K♠K♥
The 10♠5♣J♣ flop brought Gigolashvili two more outs, but neither the 3♥ turn nor the 9♦ river helped him further as he departed during the penultimate level of Day 2.
Heads-up on a flop of J♣10♦5♣, Cecile Ticherfatine bet 35,000 from the button, Andras Nemeth moved all in for 120,000 in middle position, and Ticherfatine snap-called.
Andras Nemeth: J♠10♠
Cecile Ticherfatine: J♥J♦
Nemeth showed top two pair, but Ticherfatine had J♥J♦ for top set and Nemeth found himself already drawing dead by the 4♠ turn. The river was the 7♣ and Nemeth was sent to the rail.
"We've seen some pretty sick hands today," tablemate Niklas Astedt said.
Hossein Ensan raised to 10,000 under the gun and Stanislaw Miadzel called in the cutoff. Krzysztof Zapolski then moved all in for 70,000 on the button, Ensan reshoved, and Miadzel got out of the way.
Krzysztof Zapolski: 10♣10♠
Hossein Ensan: K♥Q♣
Ensan picked up a straight draw on the J♣9♥5♠ flop, and the 10♥ turn gave Zapolski a set but also completed Ensan's straight. Zapolski failed to fill up on the A♠ river and was sent to the rail.
Christophe Panetti raised to 10,000 in middle position before Renat Bohdanov three-bet to 33,000 in the small blind. Big blind Robin Berggren then made it 76,000 to go.
Panetti jammed all in for 120,000, Bohdanov folded, and Berggren snapped it off.
Christophe Panetti: Q♠Q♣
Robin Berggren: K♠K♥
The A♦A♥9♥9♠6♦ board could not save Panetti's ladies as they fell to the kings of Berggren.
Patrik Zidek three-bet to 35,000 in the small blind and Rostyslav Sabishchenko called on the button.
Zidek continued for 45,000 on the 9♥6♦5♣ flop and Sabishchenko called. Zidek slowed down and checked the 7♣ turn, Sabishchenko bet 100,000, and Zidek called.
The river was the 4♣ and Zidek moved all in for 140,000. Sabishchenko quickly called with 8♦7♦ for a flopped straight, but Zidek had rivered the nut flush holding A♣3♣ to earn the massive double up.
At another table, Mateusz Moolhuizen and Ankit Ahuja saw the river on a board of 4♦3♦6♦6♠3♣ with around 100,000 in the pot when Moolhuizen bet 61,000 from the hijack. Ahuja called in the big blind and Moolhuizen showed two queens to win the pot. Ahuja was eliminated by Shaun Deeb a few hands later.
Tom-Aksel Bedell was back in the Main Event, but this bullet ended with the same fate as his first after he got his stack in preflop against Yaroslav Ohulchanskyi.
Heads-up on a flop of A♦10♠3♥, Cedric Schwaederle led out for 18,000 in the small blind and Nick Palma called on the button.
Both players checked the 5♠ turn and Schwaederle also checked the 6♣ river. Palma then bet 150,000, enough to put Schwaederle all in, and Schwaederle called for his last 85,000.
Palma showed A♥K♦ for top pair and Schwaederle tossed A♣2♣ into the muck before making his exit.
