Last year at King’s Resort, Simone Andrian took down the coveted 2024 World Series of Poker Europe Main Event bracelet and a career-best score of €1,300,000.
Andrian became the 15th player in history to win the WSOPE Main Event, triumphing over a field of 768 entrants. He ultimately defeated Urmo Velvelt in a gripping heads-up duel that lasted over three hours and saw the chip lead change hands multiple times.
“It’s amazing. By far the biggest score of my career. I couldn’t be more happy” he said following his victory. "I’ve been playing here a lot and to have that kind of score here feels special.”

A pot of 48,000 had brewed, with the flop reading A♠Q♣9♥, in a hand between Peter Cieslik in early position, and Ioannis Angelou Konstas in the cutoff.
Cieslik led out with a bet of 18,000, and Angelou Konstas called.
The J♦ turn was checked to the K♥ river, where Cieslik led out with a bet of 30,500.
After a long period of contemplation, Angelou Konstas called, and smiled wryly, and shook his head and mucked, when Cieslik tabled J♠10♥ for the rivered one-card straight.
On a board of J♥Q♦5♣6♦ with a bit less than 20,000 in the pot, Bartlomiej Muzacz in the hijack bet 10,500, then Tomislav Topcic to his right raised all in for 66,100. Muzacz went deep into the tank and called when the clock was called.
Tomislav Topcic: 6♣6♥
Bartlomiej Muzacz: K♥K♣
Muzacz asked for a king, but the 2♦ river kept Topcic in the lead with a set, and he doubled up.
Cristian Tabac was getting up out of his chair, and his roughly 70,000-chip stack was being passed to Lorenzo Arduini, after his 7♠6♠ came off worst against Arduini's J♥J♣ on the 10♣7♥2♠8♥3♥ runout.
Heads-up on a board of 9♣10♦6♦2♠ with 62,000 in the pot, Rene Balthasar in the big blind moved all in for approximately 35,000, and Shay Rozenbaum in the cutoff called.
Rene Balthasar: 8♦7♦
Shay Rozenbaum: 10♠10♥
Balthasar flopped a straight and was about to double up, but the 2♦ river gave Rozenbaum a full house to send Balthasar to the rail.
Andrei Spataru opened to 2,200 from early position, and was met with a three-bet jam to 16,600 from Matteo Intiso in the next seat. Action folded back to Spataru, who made the quick call.
Matteo Intiso: A♣10♣
Andrei Spataru: A♦J♥
Spataru had Intiso pipped, and he held across the J♠10♥5♥8♥3♥ runout, ending up with the one-card jack-high flush.
Lukas Rutkauskas, under the gun, was all-in and at-risk for 22,500 against Marko Bajic on the button.
Lukas Rutkauskas: 10♣10♦
Marko Bajic: K♥K♠
Rutkauskas flopped a set on 10♠Q♥J♠8♠3♦ to crack kings and double up.
