With 12,000 each invested preflop, the J♦9♠6♣ flop saw Dragoslav Timarac with the check and he then called when Sergii Baranov made it 10,600 to go. Timarac checked again the 3♣ on the turn and Baranov bet 36,000 with 50,000 behind.
The check-shove by Timarac for 76,300 followed and that sent Baranov into the tank without him asking for an exact count. Baranov then grabbed into his pockets and flipped a cash game chip, after which he ended up folding.
Giorgio Prestes raised to 1,200 in the hijack and Andreas Goeller called on the button. Simon Wilson then three-bet to 7,800 in the small blind and Prestes folded, but Goeller moved all in for 37,700. Wilson took a few minutes and eventually called to put Goeller at risk.
Andreas Goeller: A♠3♣
Simon Wilson: K♣9♣
Wilson took the lead on the 9♠Q♠2♦ flop with a pair of nines, but Goeller hit the A♦ on the turn. The A♣ river improved Goeller to trips, and he earned the double up.
On a completed board of K♣5♥8♣8♦6♦, Mario Scalia checked from the hijack and Andrea Radicchi placed out a bet of 22,500 from the button.
The bet was for almost the size of the pot, and after thinking it over for roughly a minute, Scalia stuck in the call. Radicchi showed A♦K♠ for top pair top kicker to win the pot as Scalia mucked his hand.
Scott Reynolds opened to 1,200 from middle position and Tzur Levy called in the cutoff. Andreas Goeller also called from the big blind.
The flop came 3♠10♣5♣ and when it checked to Levy, he fired 1,500. Both Goeller and Reynolds called to see the 9♥ hit the turn. Goeller then reached for chips and led for 4,300, which got both of his opponents to fold.
With some 20,500 in the middle to the 10♣5♠4♣A♥ turn, Ridvan Sare checked out of the blinds and Sergii Baranov checked back. Sare also checked the Q♦ on the river and Baranov now declared a bet of 8,700 before tossing in two yellow T-5,000 chips.
Sare spent half a minute in the tank and called to get shown the Q♠6♠ for a rivered pair of queens by Baranov, which he had beat with the A♣6♣ for top pair.
Tomas Zeleny raised to 1,800 from the hijack and Marek Tomes called from the small blind. Sirzat Hissou squeezed it up to 8,100 from the big blind, which both Zeleny and Tomes called.
Upon seeing the J♣J♠9♣ flop, Tomes chose to lead out for 3,500. Hissou called while Zeleny folded.
The 8♦ peeled off on the turn and Tomes checked. Hissou took back the betting lead by firing out 8,600. This was enough to get Tomes to fold, and Hissou pulled the pot in.
The field size has increased to 64 entries of which 56 players remain and the most recent entries include Kevin Schaefer Barthold, Michail Manolakis as well as Emilien Pitavy. They were joined by Schaefer Barthold and Kevin Nourddine Chiha shortly thereafter.
Tomas Zeleny was on the button with a raise of 4,200 in front of him and Mikolaj Zawadzki called in the small blind. Marek Tomes then reraised to 12,600 under the gun and Zeleny called, while Zawadzki laughed and pointed his finger at Tomes.
"I call him the Captain," tablemate Viet Vo said as Zawadzki folded, going off to converse with Dominik Panka on the rail.
Tomes and Zeleny went heads-up to the A♦3♦4♦ flop where Tomes bet 8,900. Zeleny called and the 9♣ fell on the turn.
Tomes then bet 17,000 and Zeleny again called. The river was the J♦ and Tomes took a few minutes before betting 26,100. Zeleny also tanked for several minutes and eventually called.
"Ace-king with the king of diamonds," Vo said to Tomes, who indeed turned over A♥K♦ to win the pot.
At the next table over, Shashank Jain had raised to 7,500 on the button and Massoud Alyas called in early position. Anton Markachev then reraised to 21,000 in middle position, and only Alyas called.
Both players checked to the river on a board of A♣Q♦2♠A♦8♥ when Alyas led out for 25,000. Markachev considered the decision for several minutes until Alyas called the clock on him. Markachev eventually called, and Alyas showed 10♠8♠. Markachev, though, turned over J♣J♠ to win the pot.
