Zeleny Makes the Right River Call

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With 20,000 in the middle on a completed board of Q3768, Tomas Zeleny checked from middle position and faced a bet of 8,500 from Michal Szczeblewski in the hijack. After giving it some deliberation, Zeleny opted to call.

Szczeblewski turned over ace-high with AxKx and lost the pot to Zeleny's Q9 for a pair of queens.

Kobylynskyi Rivers Baranek Out

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Rene Baranek
Rene Baranek

Rene Baranek was under the gun and down to less than 9,000 chips, which were all in the middle preflop in a hand against Artem Kobylynskyi in the hijack.

Rene Baranek: AJ All in
Artem Kobylynskyi: 44

Baranek was flipping for his tournament life, and the 82Q flop meant he was two cards from the rail. However, he did find salvation on the J turn as he made a pair.

Kobylynskyi needed a four or a heart to earn the knockout, and a four is what he got as the 4 hit the river, giving him a set and sending Baranek to the rail.

Fausto Tantillo raised to 1,500 under the gun and picked up calls from El Mostafa Bel Khayate in the hijack and Alexander Zubov in the cutoff.

The flop came QJ6 and Tantillo bet 4,000. Only Bel Khayate called.

The 6 fell on the turn and Tantillo bet another 11,200. Bel Khayate again called to the 7 river, where Tantillo moved all in.

Bel Khayate called for his last 37,400 and Tantillo showed AK for missed straight and flush draws. Bel Khayate had 65 for trips to win the pot and double up.

More for Zawadzki and Bosman

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Lukas Pazma tangled with Artem Kobylynskyi and check-called a bet worth 2,800 on the Q65 fdlop before checking the 7 on the turn. Kobylynskyi now bet 8,200 and that won the pot.

At the same time one table over, Mikolaj Zawadzki check-raised Viet Vo on the 9954 turn and bet the 2 river from under the gun. Vo gave it some thought and folded.

Back to the same table, new entrant Hans Bosman made it 1,200 to go for Pierre Huter and Shashank Jain to call. They headed to the 1077 flop on which Jain checked. Bosman bet 1,500 and Huter was the only caller. No further action came on the A turn and 4 river, awarding the pot to Bosman with the A2.

Boesch Has the Bigger Pocket Pair

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz made it 1,400 from middle position before Oliver Boesch three-bet to 5,400 from the hijack. Wyrzykiewicz called when the action got back to him.

Wyrzykiewicz check-called a bet of 4,000 by Boesch on the 2Q7 flop.

The 2 rolled off on the turn and Wyrzykiewicz check-called another bet from Boesch, this time for 8,000.

The two players checked the 9 river and Wyrzykiewicz tabled 55 for a pair of fives. Boesch turned over 1010 for a higher pair and the pot was sent to him.

Bel Khayate Loses It All to Zubov in a Big Cooler

Aleksandr Zubov
Aleksandr Zubov

Just one hand after doubling up off Fausto Tantillo, El Mostata Bel Khayate got involved again when he opened to 1,500 in middle position. Alexander Zubov three-bet to 5,000 in the hijack, and Bel Khayate called.

The flop came A77 and Bel Khayate led out for 3,000. Zubov called and the Q fell on the turn.

Bel Khayate then bet 19,000 and Zubov again called. The river was the K and Bel Khayate bet 80,000, leaving himself 4,200 behind. Zubov then moved all in, and Bel Khayate called off his last chips.

He showed 74 for trips, but Zubov had flopped a full house with AA to send Bel Khayate to the rail.

Sare Gets the Better of Kaya Again

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With around 4,000 in the pot on a 58A flop, Oemer Kaya checked from the small blind and Ridvan Sare made a small bet. Kaya then raised to 4,000, which Sare called.

Kaya bet 8,000 on the 10 turn, which Sare called after thinking for a while. When the 10 paired the board on the river, Kaya checked it over. Sare then thought for a while before he bet 8,000, and Kaya snap-folded.

Wyrzykiewicz Takes Another Hit

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

On the tail end of a 94292 board, Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz bet 10,000 and Oemer Kaya called after some contemplation. Wyrzykiewicz tabled his J5 for a bluff and Kaya won the pot with the J4 to put another dagger into the stack of Wyrzykiewicz.

Tomes is "the Captain"; Markachev Makes a Big Call Against Alyas

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Marek Tomes
Marek Tomes

Tomas Zeleny was on the button with a raise of 4,200 in front of him and Mikolaj Zawadzki called in the small blind. Marek Tomes then reraised to 12,600 under the gun and Zeleny called, while Zawadzki laughed and pointed his finger at Tomes.

"I call him the Captain," tablemate Viet Vo said as Zawadzki folded, going off to converse with Dominik Panka on the rail.

Tomes and Zeleny went heads-up to the A34 flop where Tomes bet 8,900. Zeleny called and the 9 fell on the turn.

Tomes then bet 17,000 and Zeleny again called. The river was the J and Tomes took a few minutes before betting 26,100. Zeleny also tanked for several minutes and eventually called.

"Ace-king with the king of diamonds," Vo said to Tomes, who indeed turned over AK to win the pot.

At the next table over, Shashank Jain had raised to 7,500 on the button and Massoud Alyas called in early position. Anton Markachev then reraised to 21,000 in middle position, and only Alyas called.

Both players checked to the river on a board of AQ2A8 when Alyas led out for 25,000. Markachev considered the decision for several minutes until Alyas called the clock on him. Markachev eventually called, and Alyas showed 108. Markachev, though, turned over JJ to win the pot.
