Sklenicka Leaves Bussmann Steaming

Michael Sklenicka raised to 18,000 in the small blind, Daniel Bussmann three-bet to 53,000 in the big blind, and Sklenicka called.

Both players checked the 9♥8♥6♥ flop. Sklenicka then bet 37,000 on the 4♠ turn, and Bussmann called.

The river was the 3♠ and Sklenicka bet 135,000. Bussmann gathered the chips to call, let out a deep sigh, then stuck them in the middle. Sklenicka turned over 9♣9♦ for a set.

"Come on," Bussmann said, angrily flicking his cards away. As if Bussmann's frustrations weren't already apparent, while Sklenicka was stacking up the pot, he slammed the table with his hand.

Pflock Spikes the River to Bust De Haas

Jan Dijkstra raised to 11,000 in middle position and Pascal Pflock called in the hijack. Lambertus De Haas then three-bet to 135,000 in the cutoff, a bet representing most of his stack, and Dijkstra folded. Pflock, though, moved all in and De Haas committed the rest of his chips.

De Haas had Pflock dominated as the flop came 2♣10♦8♠. The 7♣ turn gave Pflock outs with a flush draw, while the K♣ river gave De Haas top pair but also improved Pflock to a flush to send De Haas to the rail.

A pot of over 400,000 had been built on a board of 9♣7♥7♦8♦J♣ between Aleksei Vandyshev in the hijack and Andrei Spataru from under the gun.

Vandyshev had around 225,000 behind and was facing a bet for all of his chips on the river. After being in the tank, Vandyshev got out his wallet and threw a crisp 50 euro note over to Spataru in a request to see his cards.

After Vandyshev folded, Spataru grabbed the note and then exposed his 10♠9♠ for a straight as he raked in the pot.

"Spend it wisely," joked Max Avela.

Viet Vo was spotted on his way out of the tournament area, and he was soon followed to the rail by Mikolaj Zawadzki. Responsible for both eliminations was Jan-Willem Nijmeijer, who both times had picked up pocket queens.

In the second hand, Nijmeijer three-bet and then looked up Zawadzki in a classic race.

Kruse and Koleno Fold to Pazma's Bet

Max Kruse came in with a raise to 10,000 from the hijack, only for Stanislav Koleno to three-bet to 25,000 from the cutoff. Lukas Pazma cold-called out of the big blind, and Kruse also called after putting on his sunglasses.

The action checked to Koleno on the 9♠7♣7♦ flop, and he fired out a bet of 15,000. Pazma and Kruse called.

All three players checked the 7♠ turn to see the 10♠ complete the board. Pazma led out for 60,000, causing Kruse and Koleno to fold.

A flop of J♣5♣Q♦ gave Mendez a pair and the J♠ on the turn offered up some counterfeit outs. The dealer burned a card and produced the 5♠ on the river to give Mendez a boat, and she doubled up.

Action was checked to Zisimopoulos , who fired out a bet of 24,000. Spoddig jammed for 108,000, and Pignataro called, which convinced Zisimopoulos to fold.

Pignataro confidently tabled 9♥8♥ for the ten-high straight, but Spoddig had him pipped with J♠9♠ for the jack-high straight.
