Antoine Vranken and Samuel Auer-Klintmalm saw a flop of 6♣2♣A♣ with around 140,000 in the pot when Auer-Klintmalm bet 41,000 from the button. Vranken then moved all in from the big blind, and Auer-Klintmalm called for his last 200,000.
Samuel Auer-Klintmalm: A♠K♣Q♠7♠
Antoine Vranken: A♦Q♣5♣4♥
Auer-Klintmalm showed top pair, but Vranken had flopped a flush and left Auer-Klintmalm drawing only to running cards. The 9♣ turn gave Auer-Klintmalm drawing dead, and the Q♦ river sealed his elimination.
Iago Savino and Marco Di Persio were eliminated prior to the last four tables and Harald Casagrande then raised to 50,000 on the button. Quirin Zech in the small blind put his large stack to use and three-bet the pot to 166,000, which Casagrande called.
On the Q♦8♣5♠ flop, Zech bet the pot for nearly the entire stack of his table neighbour and Casagrande reluctantly folded.
Markus Sturz raised to 32,000 in the hijack and was called by four opponents, including Jaroslav Peter in the cutoff, Javier Francort on the button, and Marek Uharcek and Dusan Despotovic in the blinds.
The flop came J♠10♣7♥ and Uharcek led out for 176,000. Only Sturz called. The turn was the A♣ and Uharcek moved all in for 71,000. Sturz again called.
Sturz showed Q♦10♥7♣7♦ for a set, but Uharcek had flopped a straight with K♥9♠8♣7♠. The river was the 3♣ and Uharcek doubled up.
Sokratis Linaras raised to 50,000 and was called only by Max Stenberg in the cutoff. On the K♣9♠5♠ flop, both players checked to the J♣ turn on which Linaras checked again. Stenberg now made it 140,000 to go and Linaras called. The river brought the 8♠ and Linaras bet the pot, Stenberg snap-folded.
"I had everything," Linaras said while he was busy stacking up the chips.
Francisco Perez raised to 35,000 in the cutoff before Michal Schuh three-bet to 111,000 in the big blind. Perez then moved all in, and Schuh called for 172,000.
Michal Schuh: A♣K♠K♣5♦
Francisco Perez: A♠Q♥J♣5♣
The flop came 10♦2♦K♥ and Schuh improved to top set, while Perez picked up straight draws. The turn was the 3♥, while the 3♦ river gave Schuh a full house and secured his double up.
Michal Schuh opened to 35,000 from middle position and Konstantin Razinkov three-bet to 100,000 in the cutoff, which Schuh called and then checked the A♣K♥4♥ flop. Razinkov continued for 60,000 and that won the pot right there.
After the early carnage, the field has already been cut down to the last 33 players and is one away from breaking another table.
Markus Sturz limped in from the small blind before Ruslan Nazarenko raised to 36,000 in the big blind. Sturz then reraised to 140,000, Nazarenko moved all in, and Sturz called for 157,000.
Markus Sturz: A♠A♣9♠3♣
Ruslan Nazarenko: J♠J♥6♣6♠
Sturz hit top set on the A♥10♣7♠ flop, and Nazarenko was already drawing dead after the 4♦ turn. The river was the 3♠ and Sturz doubled up.
The action escalated over on table 40 and Vakhtang Javakhishvili was somewhat confused when Maksim Shuts left the table with his cards in the muck, while the board was still showing K♦J♣2♣7♥5♣.
"You fold?" he asked several times but the other players at the table pointed out that Shuts had called with what appeared to be QxJx7x7x for a turned pair of sevens without a flush draw according to Javier Francort. Dusan Despotovic was the one to collect the chips with K♠K♥10♥3♣ for a set of kings.
One hand later, Javakhishvili raised the pot to 42,000 and Jaroslav Peter called. Javier Francort reraised the pot and Javakhishvili called all-in for 142,000, Peter called Francort's repot.
The two active players checked down the entire board of K♣7♦4♣5♣9♣ and Javakhishvili announced kings before showing his A♥A♣K♥K♠. Neither of the larger stacks could beat that and Peter won the small side pot with K♥J♠10♦7♥, as Francort only had the A♠Q♦10♣3♠.
