Rocco Criscio in the hijack was all-in and at risk for 93,000 against Mouaad Alwatik in the big blind.
Rocco Criscio: Q♣9♠
Mouaad Alwatik: A♠7♣
Criscio was on the edge of elimination on 10♣8♥5♣5♦, but the Q♥ river saved him and he doubled up.
Luc Ramos shoved 84,000 from early position and when it got round to Dorian Melchers, he peeked at one of his cards and shrugged. When he looked at his second, he smiled and made the call.
Luc Ramos: A♣8♣
Dorian Melchers: 7♦7♣
Ramos was in a flip, but couldn't find any help from the 9♠K♦4♥K♣K♠ runout, which meant he was sent to the rail as Melchers chipped up.
Michele Lawson raised to 25,000 in early position and Ivan Fedor three-bet to 90,000 in middle position. Luigi Soldati then moved all in for 115,000 in the cutoff, Lawson shoved for 120,000, and Fedor called to put both opponents at risk.
Luigi Soldati: 10♠10♥
Michele Lawson: A♥3♥
Ivan Fedor: A♣K♦
The flop came A♦4♠5♣ to give Fedor the lead with his ace, king-kicker, while Lawson also hit an ace with a straight draw. The turn was the 5♥, and Fedor's king-kicker continued to play after the 8♦ river to send both opponents to the rail.
A chunky pot of at least 210,000 had developed by the river on a board of Q♣10♦10♥9♦7♠, in a hand between Julien Ghezala and Valerio Parodo, both in middle position.
Ghezala slid out a bet of 115,000, and Parodo called relatively quickly.
Ghezala tabled 8♦8♥ for two pair, tens and eights, and that was good enough to force Parodo to muck.
Armin Aghaie opened to 20,000 from under the gun. Christian Peukert on the button three-bet to 73,000, Aghaie moved all-in and Peukert snap-called.
Christian Peukert: A♣A♦
Armin Aghaie: A♥Q♥
Peukert was obviously in the lead with aces, and even more on 2♥9♠2♠. However the 3♥8♥ runout changed everything by completing Aghaie's flush. With a 103,000-chip stack, Peukert was covered and he was eliminated.
Abedel Douair shoved from early position for 118,000 and Antonio Iannei called in the hijack for his stack of 40,000.
Antonio Iannei: A♦K♥
Abedel Douair: A♥10♣
Iannei was in a great spot to effectively triple up with his big slick, and his chances got better as the 8♠9♣5♠ flop missed both players. A J♠ on the turn did give Douair a straight draw, which he completed on the Q♦ river, ending Iannei's run.
Majid Alimoradpour opened to 20,000 from the hijack, and received a call from Frank Niermann in the small blind, before Samuel Bovy produced a three-bet to 103,000 from the big blind, leaving himself only 5,000 behind.
Alimoradpour took quite a bit of time to think things over, before he four-bet jammed, forcing out Niermann. Bovy quickly flicked in his remaining chip.
Samuel Bovy: A♠A♣
Majid Alimoradpour: K♦10♣
Bovy had woken up with the goods, but the K♣J♠4♥ flop gave him cause for concern.
The 7♥ turn was a brick, but the 10♦ hit on the river to send Alimoradpour the pot with two pair, who gave the table a thump in celebration when the river landed.
Adrien Sanz in the small blind jammed for 70,000 and Maor Zaharagi called from the big blind.
Adrien Sanz: 9♦8♣
Maor Zaharagi: 2♠2♦
Sanz was hoping for a straight after the K♠10♦J♠ flop, but the 6♦J♦ runout didn't help him and he was eliminated.
Antonio Iannei raised to 22,000 on the button before Aiguo Xu three-bet to 55,000 in the small blind. Iannei then moved all in, and Xu called for 214,000.
Aiguo Xu: A♠A♦
Antonio Iannei: A♣K♣
Xu was on the right side of the preflop cooler, and the 2♠J♥5♥J♦8♣ board offered no help to Iannei as Xu doubled up, leaving Iannei nursing an extreme short stack.
