Bjarkeson Has Kings

Erik Lindqwist opened to 2,300 from middle position and was called by Eros Calderone from the button. Patrik Bjarkeson squeezed to 11,000 from the small blind, and saw Lindqwist call.

Calderone, the chip leader at the dinner break, jammed as the big stack. Bjarkeson called off his stack of 129,000 before Linqwist folded.

Tice Among the Leaders

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Landon Tice was on a short stack earlier in the session, but had since found momentum with Hal Rotholz saying Tice had won a pot of around 260,000.

And he was looking to add more to his stack after raising to 2,500 from the cutoff. Jesus Paya called from the big blind.

Paya check-called a bet of 1,500 on the A75 flop before the 6 turn checked through to the 5 river. Paya led out for 3,000 but folded when Tice made it 25,000.

Yarosh Doubles Through Kabrhel

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Martin Kabrhel opened to 4,000 form the button and faced Aliaksandr Yarosh who defended from the big blind.

After Yarosh checked the J59 flop, Kabrhel said he had "a little casino royale" and bet 4,100. Yarosh check-raised all-in for 47,100. "All-in for the bracelet," Kabrhel added to call.

Steven Jones opened to 2,100 from the hijack. Sacha Cohen and Jin hoon Lee called from the cutoff and big blind.

Jones continued for 4,400 on the 644 flop and was called by both opponents before the 10 turn checked through to the K river.

Lee checked and Jones fired out 12,400. After some thought, Cohen called to put the action on Lee. He raised to 38,000, leaving about 2,000 behind. Jones used up a timebank before calling. Cohen folded.

Lee tabled K4 for a full house, and chipped away at the 2023 WSOP Main Event runner-up.

A Better Kicker for Panagiotidis

Tobias Duthweiler raised to 2,200 from the cutoff and was called by Vasileios Panagiotidis on the button and by the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of K7A and Duthweiler continued for 1,000. Panagiotidis raised to 3,500 and made the big blind fold, but Duthweiler called.

Panagiotidis fired a second barrel to 5,500 on the K turn and Duthweiler check-called to see the 8 river which was checked by both players.

Duthweiler first revealed A2 for two pair but lost to Panagiotidis' A9.

Daniel Moran opened to 2,200 from middle position before Dmytro Smyrnov made it 6,200 from the button. Blaz Zerjav reraised to 16,000 in the small blind, forcing out Moran. Smyrnov then five-bet to 31,000, sending Zerjav into the tank.

Zerjav had approximately another 37,000 behind, and after using three-time banks, he jammed for around 53,000 total. Smyrnov didn't snap-call, and returned his cards to the dealer instead, much to the surprise of the table.
