Engel Takes Critical Pot

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Action was picked up on the turn with the board reading {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{a-Spades}. A pot of about 125,000 was brewing as Thomas Boivin bet 55,000 from early position. Ari Engel check-called after a long think.

The river came the {a-Clubs} to pair the board. With less than 20 big blinds behind, Engel took his time and checked. Boivin did not bet again and checked back.

Engel showed the {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and collected the important pot to his stack, moving him back up into the healthy range as the bubble looms.

Almost a Costly Mistake for Burris

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Nicholas Burris
Nicholas Burris

Action folded around to Salim Admon who raised to 16,000 from the cutoff and Nicholas Burris three-bet jammed for 42,000 from the small blind.

After Pavlo Veksler folded his big blind, Burris was getting ready to muck his hand until the dealer/table stopped him as he didn't notice Admon raised.

"I didn't see you raise", Burris stated to Admon after he called his all in, "I wouldn't have gone all in if I saw that raise", he finished as the two players tabled their hands.

Salim Admon: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Nicholas Burris: {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Burris was behind holding two live cards and luckily for he found them both on the {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop. The {5-Diamonds} turn was a good sight for Burris as it left Admon drawing dead and the {8-Hearts} river secured his much-needed double.

WSOP Bracelet Winner Agarwal Runs Into Aces

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Anuj Agarwal, who won the 2019 WSOP Event #86: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship 6-Handed for $630K, raised to 90,000 under the gun leaving himself just a single T1,000 chip back. Cliff Josephy called from middle position and the rest of the players folded. Josephy didn't see that Agarwal had a chip back and tabled his hand. Agarwal didn't like what he saw but still tossed the 1K chip in as a blind all-in bet so both hands could be tabled.

Anuj Agarwal: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Cliff Josephy: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Agarwal was in need of some help, but he didn't get any as the board instead ran out {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} to leave him drawing dead on the turn.

Jattin Edges Over a Million

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Farid Jattin was involved in another big pot with fellow big stack Andrew Heckman.

Action arrived at the river with a large pot of close to 200,000 in the middle. The board read {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Heckman was out of the big blind and checked, Jattin from the cutoff bet 75,000. Heckman tossed in the call.

Jattin showed the {q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for rivered two-pair which was the winner.

"The river has been good to you today" said Heckman as he watched some of his stack head over to Jattin.
