Sorrentino Scoops One

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Four ways in a raised pot and on a {6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, Raffaele Sorrentino bet 125,000 from middle position and was called only by Chun Ho Law on the button.

Both players checked on the {9-Spades} turn, but Sorrentino led out for 310,000 on the {9-Clubs} river after a long pause. Law quickly folded and Sorrentino scooped the sizable pot.

Calderon Catches a Rush

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

In the first of two hands, Paola Calderon shoved for 425,000 from under-the-gun and was called by one player in early position. Calderon held {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} against her opponent's {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} and she held up to double through.

On the very next hand, John Leathart raised to 100,000 from the hijack and Calderon called in the big blind.

Calderon checked to Leathart on the {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} flop, who bet 125,000. Calderon then went all in and Leathart quickly folded.

Tillman Takes Out Marasco

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Frank Marasco shoved his short stack from the lojack and was called by Ryan Tillmann, who had Marasco covered.

Frank Marasco: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Ryan Tillmann: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}

Tillmann had Marasco dominated, and the {9-Spades}{a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts} runout kept Tillmann out in front, which was good for Marasco's bounty.

Chen Doubles Through Leathart to Assume Chip Lead

Level 24 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Pete Chen
Pete Chen

Pete Chen just doubled through John Leathart a tournament chip-leading pot.

According to a player at the table, John Chen flopped a set of threes on a {3-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop and got all in against the {9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} of Leathart for a pair and a flush draw.

Chen faded the flush on the {5-Hearts} turn and {8-Spades} river and now sits as the tournament chip leader.

Rezaei Scores Double Bounty

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

The under-the-gun player shoved for 350,000 and action folded around to the player on the button, who also shoved for 575,000. It was folded to Daniel Rezaei in the big blind, who asked for a count before committing a rack of chips into the middle to indicate a call.

Daniel Rezaei: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}
Under-the-gun: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Button: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop gave Rezaei a flush draw, but it wasn't necessary as a {a-Clubs} fell on the turn — giving Rezaei a commanding lead.

The {8-Diamonds} bricked out for the all-in players and they were eliminated.

Medlin Muscles a Pot

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

AP Garza opened to 110,000 under-the-gun and was three-bet to 450,000 directly behind by Ray Medlin. The player in the big blind cold-called and Garza came along as well.

Both players checked to Medlin on the {j-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, who continued for 530,000. Only the big blind called.

The {4-Hearts} fell on the turn and it was checked to Medlin once again. Medlin announced he was all in, which was enough to cover the big blind's two-million chip stack.

Medlin's opponent folded after some thought and Medlin scooped the pot.
