Day 1b of the $3,500, $3 million GTD Wynn Millions Main Event as part of 2023 Wynn Millions at Wynn Las Vegas wrapped up late Saturday evening with Paul Snead leading 110 players with a sizable stack of 474,000.

The second of three starting flights in the Main Event attracted a total of 412 runners, and many of the best players in the world battled it out on the blue felt in the luxurious Wynn/Encore tournament area. Combined with the first flight, there have been 754 total entries, and 208 players have bagged so far.

Snead, who has over $1.4 million in tournament earnings, per The Hendon Mob, is on a heater that included a victory at the $2,500 Tampa Poker Classic for $198,500 less than a year ago.

Players who weren’t lucky enough to make it to the end of the day include Landon Tice, Johan Schumacher, Jake Daniels,
Kathy Liebert and Robbi Jade Lew who will all have another shot at a deep run with Day 1c tomorrow.

The day kicked off with close to 100 players and action was fast and furious in the early levels. Ren Lin who had fired four bullets on Day 1a was back in action and looking to put his new chips to work.

Lin found himself all in with ace-jack but failed to improve against the pocket tens for Spencer Champlin and was sent to the rebuy desk once again. Luckily for Lin his six bullet did the trick as he managed to climb the leaderboard throughout the rest of the day to bag a top ten stack for Day 2.

Those who bagged on Day 1b will return on March 6 at noon for Day 2ab, which will see them compete against the first two starting flights. The third and final starting flight of the nine-day tournament will pick up on March 5 at noon. Like the first two flights, Day 1c is expected to attract some of the biggest and best in the game.

PokerNews will be back tomorrow to bring you all the updates of the Wynn Millions Main Event Day 1c action, so stay tuned.

Lew's Misclick Costs Her a Pot; Doubles on the Next Hand

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Robbi Jade Lew
Robbi Jade Lew

There was a raise to 2,000 from under the gun and three players called including Robbi Jade Lew in the big blind. The flop came {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Lew splashed in a bet of 4,000, at first thinking she was all in. Lew actually had 10,000 chips behind and when it was folded to Jake Daniels on the button, he laughed with Lew before calling.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and both players checked to the {9-Clubs} on the river. Lew checked again and Daniels shoved all in, forcing Lew to fold her cards. Daniels collected the pot and showed the {j-Clubs} for the better straight.

"Don't write that one down! It was a mistake," Lew said to PokerNews. As the next hand was being dealt, Lew indicated that more action was coming. "Write this one down though!"

Daniels proceeded to raise to 2,100 and Lew shoved all in for her last 10,000. The big blind flat-called and Daniels got out of the way.

Robbi Jade Lew: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Lew was in a dominating position and the board of {j-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades} ensured her of a double-up in order to stay alive.

Thomas Boivin
Thomas Boivin

Brett Apter opened to 1,700 in the hijack and Thomas Boivin called in the cutoff. The button reraised to 10,000 which got Apter to fold but Boivin still called.

The flop fell {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Boivin led out with a bet of 3,200. The button called and the {k-Spades} landed on the turn. Boivin made another small bet of 4,000 and his opponent still called.

The {10-Hearts} completed the board and Boivin slid out a stack of 5,000 chips. His opponent sighed and called off his last roughly 40,000 chips. Boivin tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a set of fives which was good enough to eliminate his opponent who held {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}.

Hye Park: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Anthony Zinno: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Nick Pupillo was down to just 6,400 chips on his second bullet of the day and shoved all in from middle position. The action folded around to Fabian Rolli in the big blind who asked for a count before making the call.

Nick Pupillo: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Fabian Rolli: {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The flop came {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Spades} to give Rolli a pair of nines but Pupillo was still in the lead with his pair of queens. Wynn Poker
Wynn Poker

There was an exceptional turnout for Day 1a of the $3,500 Main Event at the 2023 Wynn Millions which saw a total of 342 entries recorded for the opening flight. It was also a field littered with familiar faces, many of which advanced to Day 2ab already which will take place on Monday, March 6. As the weekend begins here in Las Vegas, another large field is expected for Day 1b which will be getting underway at 12 p.m. noon local time.

Among many of the notable names that took part on Day 1a, it was Michael Dyer who finished the day on top with a stack of 516,000 chips. Dyer, a former WSOP Main Event final tablist, was forced to use two bullets but made good on his second and will return to a stack of over 200 big blinds.

Some other big names that advanced to Day 2ab include Nick Palma (368,500), Justin Liberto (362,500), Matthew Wantman (306,500), and former Wynn Millions champion Andrew Moreno (267,000). All of these players and more have earned themselves a break for a couple of days while there will be many others returning to the felt today looking to punch their ticket to the next stage.

The action will be kicking off at 12 p.m. noon local time with another ten 60-minute levels on the schedule for Day 1b. A starting stack will be worth 40,000 chips and the blinds will begin at 100/200 and a 200 big blind ante. There will be a 15-minute break after every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after level six.

An unlimited number of reentries will be permitted throughout each flight which makes for plenty of action right from the start. Late registration will remain open until the start of level nine on all of the Day 1's. For any of those that make it through the day and put chips in a bag, they will also be returning for Day 2ab on Monday, March 6.
