Zamani Surging on Day 2

Martin Zamani raised to 10,000 from under the gun and Artem Kobylynskyi called from the button before the big blind joined in.

The flop was 3♠Q♦3♦ and the big blind checked before Zamani continued for 15,000. Kobylynskyi called and the big blind got out of the way for a A♣ turn.

Zamani thought for a moment and slid out 51,500 — enough to force a quick fold and take the pot. Zamani is a big mover on Day 2 and has no eclipsed the 700K mark.

Becker Beware: Landon Tice Ships Wynn Millions Event for $32,025

Landon Tice's summer crossbook with Jeremy Becker may not yet be underway, but the "child of the sim" is already heating up. On Wednesday, Tice took down a 2024 Wynn Millions Poker Series $400 buy-in event for $32,025 and his first Wynn trophy.

The victory for Tice, who topped a 512-player field after coming into Day 2 with 20 big blinds, shows that he means business in his upcoming high-stakes bet with Becker, which was set up by Daniel Negreanu and stipulates that both players crossbook 25 mutually played events between May 28 and July 1.

Tice took a bit of a shot at Becker in his winner's photo, giving a yawn while holding up Becker's trademark three-five offsuit.

But Tice has some catching up to do. The victory marked his first live victory since November 2020, when he took down the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) Venetian $1,100 Main Event for $201,529. Since then, Becker has won 38 live tournaments, according to The Hendon Mob.

Armand Anicete was all in for around 17,000 and Richard Becker looked him up. The rest of the table was out of the way and action was heads up with Anicete at risk.

Eric Baldwin Wins Wynn Millions $600 NLH

One of the biggest scores of the 2024 Wynn Millions series so far went to a familiar face in Eric Baldwin, who topped a field of 1,085 runners in a $600 No Limit Hold'em event for $96,909 as the Vegas-based grinder added to his $8.4 million in live earnings.

The final table included fellow Vegas-based players Jay Fredricksen (8th - $12,772) and Aaron Massey (3rd - $48,713), as well as North Carolina's Paul Taylor, who finished runner-up for $63,335.

Baldwin, a two-time bracelet winner best known for a runner-up finish in the 2010 World Poker Tour (WPT) Five Star World Poker Classic for $1 million, received love on social media from a few notable players, including 2021 Wynn Millions champion Andrew Moreno and the Wynn daily assassin Jeremy Becker himself.

Welcome to Day 2 of the $3,500 Wynn Millions Championship in Las Vegas. Cards go in the air at 12 p.m. for the final 327 players from three opening flights.

Mitchell Halverson leads the way with the overall chip lead after a big Day 1b and Artem Kobylynskyi follows in second with his top stack from Day 1c. Close behind Kobylynskyi is Jared Hemingway, Chris Chomenko, and Spencer Champlin.

Day 1a chip leader Fikret Kovac leads the second half of the top ten, which includes 2023 WSOP Final Tablist Steven Jones. Other notable players returning include Joe McKeehen, Shannon Shorr, Adam Hendrix, Ryan Leng, Bin Weng, Jason Dewitt, and WPT World Championship winner Dan Sepiol.

Cards go in the air at noon local time for the final 327 players and blinds will pick up in Level 11 at 1,500/2,500/2,500. Levels will increase every 60 minutes on Day 2 before the intervals become 90 minutes on Day 3.
