Rui Cao

It was another good week on the virtual felt for German pro Niklas "ragen70" Heinecker. Last week he finished as the week's biggest winner with $411,736 in profit, and he followed that up this week by winning another $407,312 in 4,015 hands over 28 sessions. The only other player to do better was French pro Rui Cao, who was the week’s biggest winner with $498,446 in profit in 6,820 hands over 28 sessions.

Other winners this week included “SallyWoo” (+$390,274 in 10 sessions/1,801 hands), Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene (+$312,649 in 12 sessions/1,359 hands), “no_Ola” (+$260,994 in 5 sessions/371 hands), and “Denoking” (+$234,707 in 24 sessions/4,889 hands).

On the flip side, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom was the week’s biggest loser after dropping $909,313 in 8,377 hands over 74 sessions. Other losers included Doug “WCGRider” Polk (-$332,118 in 8 sessions/3,997 hands), “Kagome Kagome” (-$201,484 in 21 sessions/1,414 hands), and Alexander “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn (-$185,870 in 42 sessions/4,299 hands).

Heinecker Takes from Blom in 2-7 Triple Draw Action

On Sunday, Nov. 10, Niklas “ragen70” Heinecker extended his lead on the 2013 leader board by winning $264,500 from Viktor “Isildur1” Blom at the 2-7 triple draw tables. The duo played two sessions, and the German pro walked away a six-figure winner in each.

In the first, Heinecker relieved Blom of nearly $102,000 in just 74 hands. In the second, it took Heinecker 201 more hands to skin Blom for another $162,500. It was a rather short affair and the only action either player would see that day.

Another player who had a good day on Sunday was Rui Cau, who has been squaring off against Alex “PostflopAction” Kostritsyn as of late. The two played at the $500/$1,000 2-7 triple draw for five hours and during that time Cao pieced together a $158,600 win.

“Denoking” Wins on One; “Wilhasha” Losses on the Other

On Monday, Nov. 11, “Denoking” took on “RookieNFL” and “Tight-Man1” at the $200/$400 no-limit hold’em tables. “Denoking” walked away a $98,500 winner, and it’s no surprise to learn that he was involved in the two biggest pots of the day.

Hand #1: “Denoking” ($77,003.75) opened for $1,000 only to have “Tight-Man1” ($59,099.50) three-bet to $3,700. Not to be outdone, “Tight-Man1” responded with a four-bet to $8,200 and “Tight-Man1” called, which brought about a flop of 4Q9. “Tight-Man1” proceeded to check-call a bet of $6,800 and then one of $13,700 on the 5 turn. When the 5 completed the board on the river, “Tight-Man1” checked for a third time and then called off his remaining $30,399.50 when “Denoking” moved all in. “Denoking” rolled over the AA, and it was good enough to win the $118,199 pot as “Tight-Man1” sent his cards to the muck.

Hand #2:

Even though he won on Full Tilt Poker, “Denoking” lost $122,000 on PokerStars where he played under the screen name “wilhasha.”

Cao Wins Big in Tuesday PLO Action

The $100/$200 PLO tables were in full swing over at Full Tilt Poker on Tuesday. That is where French pro Rui Cao took on Doug “WCGRider” Polk in an 8.5-hour session. The two played four tables, and by the time they logged off Cao was a $292,400 winner. Here are a couple hands from that match.

Hand #1: Polk ($50,704.50) opened for $600 and received a call from Cao ($117,767), which brought about a 4K9 flop. Cao check-called a bet of $800, and checked the 6 turn. Polk bet $2,800 and then called when Cao check-raised to $8,000. When the J completed the board on the river, Cao led out for $18,800 and Polk called to create a pot of $56,400. Cao tabled the A1038 for the nuts, and Polk sent his cards to the muck.

Hand #2: Polk ($20,557) opened for $600 only to have Cao ($102,179.50) three-bet to $1,800. Polk responded with a four-bet to $5,400, Cao called, and the flop fell 737. Cao checked, Polk bet $10,800, and Cao check-raised to $43,200. Polk only had $4,357 behind and called off.

Cao: 9876
Polk: AA35

Polk held pocket aces, but they were cracked when Cao flopped a set. The turn and river were run twice, but neither the 5 and J on the first nor 10 and K on the second helped Polk. The $41,114 pot was shipped to Cao.

Tollerene Back Over $3 Million; "Denoking" vs. “bbvisbadforme”

On Wednesday, Nov. 13, Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene won $167,000 from Viktor “Isildur1” Blom at the $500/$1,000 CAP PLO tables, which was enough to push him back over $3 million in profit for 2013. The two played for an hour and twenty minutes over three tables, and it looked as if things might go the Swede’s way as he jumped out to an $80,000 lead early on. Tollerene then took down a couple of big pots to get even and continued to roll until Blom quit the match.

In other Wednesday news, “Denoking” played a five-hour session of $300/$600 NLHE against “bbvisbadforme” and walked away a $102,600 winner. Despite coming out on top, “Denoking” actually lost the two biggest pots of the day. Have a look.

Hand #1: “Denoking” ($123,371.25) raised to $1,500 and then called an additional $3,300 when “bbvisbadforme” ($262,791) three-bet to $4,800. When the flop came down 829, “bbvisbadforme” led out for $4,800 and was met by a raise to $13,200 from “Denoking.” “Bbvisbadforme” responded by making it $29,400 and then called when “Denoking” four-bet to $58,800, leading to a 10 turn.

After “bbvisbadforme” checked, “Denoking” moved all in for $59,771.25 and “bbvisbadforme” called to create a hefty $246,742 pot. “Denoking” had flopped a set with the 22, but “bbvisbadforme” had pulled ahead on the turn with a 67 straight. The river was run twice, but “Denoking” came up short when the Q blanked on the first run followed by the A on the second.

Another Big 2-7 Triple Draw Score for Heinecker

Don’t look now, but Niklas “ragen70” Heinecker could finish as the biggest online winner of 2013. He currently sits atop the yearly leader board with nearly $4.2 million in profit, and $572,900 of that came on Thursday at the $2,000/$4,000 2-7 triple draw tables.

The game ran throughout the day and included the likes of Gus Hansen, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom and “Kagome Kagome”; however, Heinecker would be the only one who would finish the day with a profit.
