UK Poker Championships By GGPoker Heads to DTD From Jan. 17
Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham has a glowing reputation for hosting and running incredible live poker festivals. One such festival, the UK Poker Championships (UKPC) by GGPoker, is right around the corner, with the first event scheduled to shuffle and deal on January 17.
This latest iteration of the UKPC sees Dusk Till Dawn again join forces with the online poker giant GGPoker. Not only can players play an online Day 1 for the £560 UKPC Main Event, but they can win their way into this £500,000 guaranteed tournament from only £0.01.
January 17 is when the first of the 2026 UKPC events begins. The £280 buy-in Warm Up, which carries a £100,000 guarantee on its prize pool, kicks the festival off in style. Players have a trio of standard Warm Up flights to choose from, plus a turbo-structured flight. Last time, in August 2025, this event drew 410 entrants. Spain's Jorge Palomino came out on top and banked £16,230 after a heads-up deal with George Holmes.
Massive £500,000 Guaranteed UKPC Main Event
As is usually the case with major poker festivals, the Main Event is the centerpiece of the 2026 UKPC schedule. It costs £560 to enter, guarantees at least £500,000 will be paid out, and should see a first-place prize approaching six figures.
January 20 is when players have their first opportunity to build a stack in the UKPC Main Event. GGPoker is hosting an online Day 1 at 7:05 p.m. GMT. It concludes after 15 levels, each spanning 20 minutes, with surviving players progressing to the live Day 2 at Dusk Till Dawn on January 25.
Satellites for this online flight start at £0.01, which feed into £5.50 buy-in satellites, then into £55 buy-in satellites, where up to 20 x £ 560 seats are guaranteed.
Those preferring a traditional Day 1 should head to Dusk Till Dawn on January 22 at 12:00 p.m. GMT for Day 1a. The second of five flights starts at 12:00 p.m. GMT on January 23, with a turbo-structured flight scheduled on the same day at 7:00 p.m.. Day 1c kicks off at noon on January 24, with the final turbo flight giving players one last chance to qualify for Day 2, which commences at 7:00 p.m.
Day 2 starts at 1:00 p.m. GMT on January 25 and wraps up on January 26, concluding at 1:00 p.m. GMT.
In September, when Dusk Till Dawn last ran this tournament, 937 players bought in. By the time the final table was reached, each of the nine players locked in at least £6,000, with the top seven reeling in five-figure prizes. Alex Montgomery is the reigning champion. Montgomery got his hands on an impressive £92,500 after defeating Tom Waters (£61,500) heads-up after an exciting one-on-one battle.
