Trio of Ladies Chop Up Event #3: $130 Monster Stack

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Today's Ante Up Poker Tour Main Event in the Silks Poker Room at Tampa Bay Downs is the culmination of a six-event series that's been taking place all week long.

On Tuesday, Event #3: $130 No-Limit Hold'em Monster Stack drew 47 entries, which meant there was a small overlay to the $4,559 generated prize pool. Only the top six players were supposed to get paid, but with seven left they all agreed to pay the bubble $130, which went to Joao Figueiredo.

In the end, the final three ladies worked an equal chop for $1,220 apiece.

Hartman Sends Leonard to the Rail

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Kerry Hartman
Kerry Hartman

With around 9,000 in the pot and a flop of {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}, the under-the-gun player bet 3,200 and Tammy Leonard called from middle position. Kerry Hartman, who was next to act in the hijack, then raised to 10,000.

The UTG player ditched his hand and Leonard called to see the {9-Hearts} turn.

Leonard checked and Hartman moved all in for 28,000. Leonard had around 20,000 back and opted to call it off.

Leonard: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Hartman: {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Leonard went with her up-and-down straight draw but was in a bad spot as Hartman had the same straight draw but with a pair.

The {4-Hearts} river was a brick and Hartman held to send Leonard to the rail.

Adibi Flips for His Tournament Life

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

The preflop action escaped us but we do know Matt Adibi got his stack of 41,300 all in and was flipping for his tournament life.

Adibi: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Adibi let out a shout of celebration when a third six appeared in the window on the {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop.

The {K-Clubs} turn paired his opponent but it didn't matter as Adibi had the hand locked up. The meaningless {Q-Diamonds} was run out on the river and Adibi was pushed the pot.

Barnett Fishhooks a Set

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

A trio of players each put in 1,100 preflop and saw a flop of {J-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. The players in the blinds checked but both called when Jason Barnett bet 1,000 from UTG+1.

That action repeated on the {7-Hearts} turn, albeit to the tune of 1,300, and then the dealer ran out the {2-Clubs} on the river.

Two more checks from the blinds saw Barnett check behind with his {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top set. It was good as both his opponents mucked.

Wood Busts Gauthier

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
James Wood
James Wood

Four players each committed 2,000 preflop and took a flop of {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Eugene Gauthier was first to act and didn't hesitate to move all in for 10,700 from the big blind.

Both the players in the under-the-gun position and hijack folded and James Wood, the preflop raiser, called from the button.

Gauthier: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Wood: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Both players held overpairs to the board but Wood's ladies were best. Neither the {7-Clubs} turn nor {A-Diamonds} river changed anything and Wood scored the knockout.
