As we walked past the table, we noticed that Kristian Lunardi was all in for just under 7,000 in chips pre-flop holding , against an opponent holding .
The board ran out , to see Lunardi move back up to 14,500 in chips.
The action started with Martin Kozlov opening to 400 before facing a raise to 950 from an opponent in middle position. The flop came , and Kozlov check-called a bet of 1,100. Both players checked the on the turn, before Kozloz would lead out with a bet of 1,600 on the river. His opponent didn’t hesitiate, throwing out a raise of 4,200, resulting in a quick fold.
We arrived at the table to see Kahle Burns rake in a big pot with the board reading .
He recalled to us the action started with the player under the gun, opening to 225. John Caridad called the bet, before Dejan Divkovic re-raised to 825. With the option on Burns, he decided to four-bet to 1,725, forcing a fold from the original raiser. Caridad then five bet to 3,425, resulting in a fold from Divkovic. Burns thought for a moment before just making the call.
Caridad would continue with a bet of 2,200 on the flop and 3,800 on the turn which were both called. On the river, he slowed down, checking his option. Burns went into the tank before announcing all-in for a round 11,000 in chips, forcing an instant muck from Caridad.
Burns flashed , as he moves up to 30,000 in chips.
Dejan Divkovic has just taken his seat in today’s field. He recently won ANZPT Perth for AU$114,000, and will be looking to win back-to-back tournaments. He joins the same table as Kahle Burns and Jie Gao.
Making a second lap around the tournament floor, we’ve noticed a few more notable faces take their seats including Jarrod Glennon, who finished in fifth place in the 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event.
The tournament has been broken up into two sections. 10 of the tables are situated right next to the media desks. Here are the players seated closest to us.
