Hinrichsen Hurting

Andrew Hinrichsen has just seen his elimination from the 2011 APPT Macau Main Event . We weren't there to catch the action, but some players at the table were happy to let us know how it played out.

Apparently, Hinrichsen opened from under the gun holding {j-}{10-} and recieved the call from one late position opponent and one opponent in the small blind.

The flop landed {10-}{7-}{9-} and this is when all the action played out. According to the table, Hinrichsen over-shoved for 25,000 after the small blind player was all in for 9,000. The late position player made the call and the three players turned their hands over.

Hinrichsen: {j-}{10-}
Late Position: {q-}{q-}
Small Blind: {k-}{j-}

The {a-} on the turn changed nothing, while the {k-} would help the small blind survive as he took down the main pot. When Hinrichsen got no help, the side pot would be sent to his late position opponent and he would make his way out of the tournament.

Turn Hurts English

We came to the action on Tim English's table with a flop showing {6-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} and English in a hand going up against one opponent.

When English was faced with a bet of 600, he decided to raise it up to 2,000. His opponent called and the {5-Spades} hit the tun.

English's opponent again led for 1,600 and this tim English opted to just make the call.

When the {8-Clubs} landed on the river, English was again led into, this time with a bet of 3,200. English thought for some time before making the call. When his opponents {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} landed on the felt, English let his hand go and tapped the table as his opponent raked in his new chips.

Lost One

Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Action folded to the button and that player raised to 700. Phil Ivey made the call from the big blind and the flop came down {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}. Ivey checked and his opponent checked behind.

The {7-Diamonds} landed on the turn and Ivey bet an even 1,000. His opponent called to see the river, which was the {4-Clubs}. After Ivey checked, the button fired 1,900. Ivey tossed his cards into the muck and relinquished the pot.
