No Points For Jesse

Jesse McKenzie currently leads the Australia-New Zealand Player of The Year race, which can be viewed here on the APPT website.

Unfortunately for McKenzie, he won't be managing any points today after he got unlucky against Julius Colmon.

McKenzie was all in preflop holding {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and looking good against the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} of Colman.

The board ran out {5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{5-Spades}, with the queen on the flop sending McKenzie to the rail.

Harris Hitting Them To The Rail

PokerStars Team Online Pro Keiran Harris just dealt the fatal blow to John Dalessandri.

Harris held {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} against the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} of Dalessandri and when the board ran out {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{5-Diamonds} it was home time for Dalessandri.

Khouiss Culled

Sam Khouiss was nursing a short stack when he shoved all in holding {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Unlucky for Khouiss, Van Marcus held {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Khouiss would need to catch up if he was going to survive, but when the board ran out {q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} it was all over for Khouiss.

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Khalil was sent home, while Parshenkov moves up towards the top end of the leader board.

Aristidou Ousted By Obst

Peter Aristidou
Peter Aristidou

Peter Aristidou raised to 4,500 from middle position, which James Obst then popped to 10,500 from the cutoff. Arsitidou then made it another 20,000 and Obst announced he was all in, having Aristidou well covered. Aristidou quickly made the call and the two players turned their hands over.

Obst: {10-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Aristidou: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

The flop of {3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Hearts} was relatively safe for Aristidou, even improving his hand to trips.

The turn card was the {j-Diamonds}, still pretty safe for Aristidou, but giving Obst a few outs, needing a queen to make a straight.

I think by now it's pretty clear where we are going with this.

River: {q-Hearts}

A painful river for Arisitidou as he exits the building and Obst chips up after hitting the lucky runner-runner.

Vesko Vexed

Vesko Zmukic is licking his wounds after not managing to get a much needed double up holding {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} against the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} of Norah Greer.

The flop would house the dreaded ace that sent Zmukic home, with the board running out {10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}.

Greer now sits as the lady with the most chips!

The queens for Hinrichsen held up and Youssef was sent packing.
