Delaney Mowin' 'em Down

Ben Delaney
Ben Delaney
The cutoff player moved all in ahead of Ben Delaney for 7,000 chips. Delaney, sitting with the button, squeezed out the {A-Spades} and the {10-Diamonds} and made the call. He was up against {A-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} . The board four-flushed in spades, {2-Spades} {6-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades} {j-Spades}, to give Delaney the nut flush. He eliminated another player and is now sitting behind 62,000 chips.

Chrisanthopoulos Boats on Woodman

Chrisanthopoulos doubles up
Chrisanthopoulos doubles up
Michael Chrisanthopoulos has doubled through Brendan Woodman after they met in a preflop confrontation.

Chrisanthopoulos' {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} was never really in danger against Woodman's {10-Hearts}{j-Clubs} with the flop coming {6-Spades}{q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The {q-Diamonds} would leave Woodman drawing dead, with the river {4-Diamonds} sealing the hand.

Michael Chrisanthopoulos has rowed his boat through to 30,000 in chips and a new life in this tournament.

Slight Change of Plans...

The tournament staff have put their heads together and decided that playing down to the final table tonight will make it far too long. The decision has been made to end tonight's playing session at the final 32, with the redraw and shootout tables taking place tomorrow, along with the final table.

Tomorrow's playing session will see cards in the air at 4:00pm local time.

Reddie Doubles

Scott Reddie doubled up in a battle of the blinds against David Hester. All of the chips were in preflop, with Reddie's {A-Hearts} {Q-Hearts} in a dominating position against Hester's {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}. Each player made aces and threes by the river, but Reddie's queen out-kicked Hester's ten.

On a completely unrelated note, Reddie informed us that he was in a bit of a scrap with Mark Vos last night at the Vegas bar. Reddie is sporting a small cut on his face tonight, the result of catching Vos' watch right across the nose. As retaliation he has threatened to toss Vos in the Yarra River just outside the Crown Casino before the end of the Aussie Millions.

Nelson Submits

Lee Nelson Finally Eliminated
Lee Nelson Finally Eliminated
Much like a prize fighter, they've needed to drag and brawl and fight some more to finally get Lee Nelson behind the rail tonight. In the end the demise of Nelson would be a simple preflop confrontation of Nelson's {8-?}{8-?} against the {9-?}{9-?} of Brendon Rubie.

The {Q-?}{Q-?}{10-?} flop gave Nelson hope, but the board ran out {Q-?}{7-?} to give Nelson Queens Full of Eights and Rubie Queens Full of Nines.

Nelson heads to rail, while Rubie eliminates him and chips up a little more to 50,000. More importantly he claims Nelson's prized bounty to at least get his buy in back.

Davis Eliminated

Helen Davis Eliminated
Helen Davis Eliminated
Anthony Kellett has just eliminated Helen Davis. With the board reading {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} Kellett moved all in covering Davis. Davis made the call with {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} and was ahead of Kellett who had {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for top pair with a flush draw.

As the river hit the {4-Hearts} Kellett exploded into raucous celebration, much to the chagrin of Davis. Realizing the over-zealousness in the moment Kellett quickly apologized to Davis, unfortunately for her though it still wouldn't change the fact that her tournament is over.

Kellett on the other hand is up to 60,000.

Sam Georges Loses Massive Pot to Yevgeniy Timoshenko

Sam Georges has lost the vast majority of his chips after he ran his top pair into Yevgeniy Timoshenko's set.

Timoshenko holding {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} got the best of the {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop and never looked back. With an {8-Hearts} on the turn both players put 8,500 into the pot and on the river {q-Diamonds} Timoshenko bet his last 10,000, which was check-called by Georges.

Timoshenko bounces up to over 40,000. The hand left Georges with just 2,000 and he was eliminated shortly after.
