Des Anges Blessed

Marc Des Anges is causing some serious damage on table 30 and is now up to 74,000 after getting his money into the middle preflop with {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and found himself dominating the {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} of a short-stacked opponent.

The board was spread {K-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}; Des Anges' set of tens was best and the player count on the tournament clock is reduced by one.

Tuckman Takes It

Jonathan Tuckman opened from early position to 2,400 and a player in middle position made the call.

The flop came {j-Spades}{2-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Tuckman fired out 5,500 the middle position announced raise, and before he could get his bet in the middle Tuckman moved all in. The middle position player called with {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, only to run into Tuckman's overpair {A-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

The turn {5-Hearts} and river {9-Hearts} blanked out moving Tuckman up to 33,000.

Mr. X Cripples Delaney

Xen Xenofontos = Chip Leader!
Xen Xenofontos = Chip Leader!
With roughly 5,000 already in the middle as we approached the table, Xen Xenofontos and Ben Delaney were contesting the pot on a flop of {3-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

Xenofontos led out for 4,100 and Delaney made the call. They saw the {6-Hearts} fall on the turn and Xenofontos checked to Delaney who fired 7,200. Xenofontos called.

The river brought the {5-Diamonds} and Xenofontos checked to Delaney who released a hefty 22,000 into the middle. Xenofontos then check-raised all in for 48,300 in total with Delaney snap calling!

In the biggest pot of the tournament Delaney revealed {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a flush, only to see Xenofontos flip {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a bigger flush!

Delaney took a walk to cool off and when he returned he found himself left with just 13,000 as Xenofontos became our runaway chip leader with 128,000 chips!

Prodigy in the Hunt

A player in middle position limped in before Josh "JJProdigy" Field who raised to 2,200 from the cutoff preflop.

Nik Haidaris called from the big blind, as did the middle position player and it was three way action into a flop that read {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}.

Haidaris and the other player checked; Field led out for 2,800. Haidaris and the opponent both called, then checked to Field on the turn of the {A-Spades}.

Field deliberated for almost two minutes before firing out a second shell worth 4,800. The others gave up their hands and Field is now up to 29,000 in chips.

Eric Assadourian Talks A Double Up

Eric Assadourian talks a good game, and can back it up
Eric Assadourian talks a good game, and can back it up
"If I go all-in no look, and everyone folds, will you call me?", asked Eric Assadourian to Panayotis Flourentzoo.

Flourentzoo didn't answer him, but Assadourian would have his answer soon enough.

The dealer dealt out the cards, and after peeking at his cards Assadourian moved all in from under-the-gun. Action folded to Flourentzoo in the big blind and he snap called slapping {A-Spades}{j-Clubs} on the table.

Assadourian rolled over his {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} for a very well timed conversation.

The board ran out {3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to ship 16,000 to Assadourian.

Casale Eliminated

Antonio Casale has been sent to the rail after getting his chips in preflop with {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} against his opponent's {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}.

Casale got a little excited when he saw an ace but it was no help on the {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} board and Casale was sent to the rail.

Devastated

On our round of recent chip count updates we wandered past the table of Amanda De Cesare and glanced at her diminishing stack.

"Just write devastated," sighed De Cesare.

For the record, De Cesare has 7,600 chips.

Karl Krautschneider Doubles

Karl Krautschneider has become the latest player to double through Haki Sejnovski.

Sejnovski raised from early position and Krautschneider moved over the top all in. Sejnovski made the call tabling his {K-Hearts}{j-Hearts} to race with Krautschneider's {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The board ran out {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts} doubling up Krautschneider to about 12,000 and leaving Sejnovski with less than 1,000.
