Jackie's Swingin'

On a flop that read {j-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}, Jackie Glazier checked to her opponent in late position who led out for 300. Glazier called, then both players checked the turn of the {9-Spades}.

Glazier then led out for 700 on the river of the {2-Diamonds}. The opponent called, Glazier tabled {k-Clubs}{8-Spades} but she was no good against the opponent's {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Though she slipped to 12,000 after that hand, Glazier managed to take down another pot a short time later and is currently on 14,000 in chips.

Brammer Time

Chris Brammer and an opponent in early position were heads-up into a board that read {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades}.

We caught the action as the early position player fired out a bet of 3,250, which saw Brammer go deep into the tank.

"I've got a flush, what can I do?" Brammer lamented, thinking that his opponent had made a full house. Brammer eventually called, tabling {6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

"You got it," said his adversary, throwing his hand into the muck.

Brammer is up to 17,200 after that hand.

Faure Makes Good

With the action still very tight in these early stages, we managed to catch a hand between Nicolas Faure and an opponent on a board that read {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}.

Faure fired out a bet of 1,050 and the opponent called, only to muck when Faure rolled up {j-Spades}{3-Spades} for trips.

Faure is up to 16,500 as a result.

How it Works

Today's structure has each player starting with 10,000 in chips with blind levels of 60 minutes' duration.

This tournament will continue until we reach our final table, which will commence at 2.15pm tomorrow afternoon.

Neilson Chips Up Early

Catching the action on the turn on a board of {3-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{K-Hearts}, the action checked to Daniel Neilson on the button who fired 1,375 into the pot. His lone opponent in the small blind asked for a count of Neilson's stack before committing to a call.

The river brought the {7-Spades} and the small blind led out for 2,175 but Neilson was having none of it, sliding all 6,000 of his chips into the middle. His opponent quickly gave it up and flashed {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

Neilson didn't show as he raked in a nice pot to move up to around 13,000 chips.

Huntly Doubles Up

We caught the action on a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} between Dennis Huntly and two other players.

Huntly checked from the small blind position, as did the player from UTG before another opponent in middle position led out for 175.

Huntly then check-raised to 1,000, but to his surprise the UTG player called before the middle position player got out of the way.

"So it's going to be like that, is it?" quipped Huntly before the dealer produced the turn of the {10-Diamonds}.

Huntly then led out for 2,500, the UTG player raised him all in and Huntly snap-called.

Huntly: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}
UTG: {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The river {q-Diamonds} completed the board; Huntly's king kicker was best and it takes him up to 17,500 in chips.
