Dinner Break

The level has ended and the players are on a 75-minute dinner break.

Here's how they stand at the break:

Sorel Mizzi - 4,975,000
Tyron Krost - 2,985,000
Frederik Jensen - 2,695,000
Kosta Varoxis - 1,415,000
Peter Jetten - 2,165,000
Steve Friedlander - 780,000

Another Quick Break

The clock has been paused while the cards on the final table are swapped out for new ones. At the end of this level in about 15 minutes, the players will be taking a 75-minute dinner break.

Jetten Turns Straight

Tyron Krost raised to 60,000 and then Peter Jetten called from the small blind. Steve Friedlander called from the big blind as well and it was three ways to the flop.

The first three community cards across the middle of the felt were the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and everyone checked.

The turn was the {J-Spades} and Jetten fired a bet. He made it 150,000 to go and Friedlander folded. Krost made the call.

The river card completed the board with the {5-Hearts}. Jetten fired 350,000 and Krost went into the tank. He wound up making the call, but mucked his hand after seeing the {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} from Jetten who had turned a queen-high straight.

Annette Obrestad Eliminated in 7th Place ($175,000 AUD)

Action folded over to Annette Obrestad in the hijack seat and she raised all in for 600,000. Tyron Krost was next in line and fresh of his elimination of Stephen Shelly. He went into the tank. After a minute or two, Krost slid out the chips to make the call. Everyone else behind him folded.

Obrestad was racing for her tournament life when her {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} was up against the {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} of Krost.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades} and the door closed a little more on Obrestad. Krost picked up a set of sevens, but Obrestad wasn't fully dead yet, she did have a straight draw now.

The turn card brought the {5-Diamonds} and kept Krost in front. Obrestad's cheering section began chanting, "Ten! Ten! Ten! Ten!" over and over.

The river card wouldn't bring it to them or to Annette after the {K-Hearts} hit the felt. Obrestad gave a hug to her Betfair teammate Sorel Mizzi and shook the hands of the other competitors before exiting to the rail. She took home $175,000 AUD for her efforts. She topped her performance from last year where she came in 21st place — an amazing run in back-to-back years.

If you didn't catch the video yesterday, Lynn Gilmartin caught up with Annette during Day 4. You can check it out here:

Moments ago, Stephen Shelly became the first casualty of the final table, sent to the rail by Tyron Krost, who now has 3.1 million in chips.

Krost opened the pot with a raise to 75,000 from early position and action folded around to Shelly in the big blind who three-bet to 200,000. Krost made the call and the flop came {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

Shelly then checked to Krost, who bet 325,000. Holding pocket sevens, Shelly moved all in over the top of Krost's bet, making it 1.1 million to play and Krost snap-called holding {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}.

The turn and river then blanked out {8-Diamonds}, {2-Hearts} and Krost took down the monster pot.

Shelly won his way into the Aussie Millions main event via a $22 satellite through Aussie Hold'em Poker, giving him an ROI of 568,081% for this tournament.

Jetten Check-raises Obrestad

Annette Obrestad raised to 75,000 and Peter Jetten called from the small blind. Obrestad was in middle position.

The flop came down {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Jetten checked. Obrestad fired a continuation bet of 100,000 and Jetten check-raised to 240,000. Obrestad folded and the cheering section for Jetten let everyone know they got their man's back once again.

Mizzi Doing Chip Counts

Even from the highest row in the bleachers, its difficult to see the chips on the table, so Tom Dwan took matters into his own hands:

"Sorel, how much do you have?"

"Around five," Sorel said.

"How much does Peter have?" Dwan asked.

"1.2?" Sorel estimated.
