Day 1b of the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event is now officially behind us, and it only took 13 (long) hours to get us there.
Today (now yesterday), 243 runners ponied up the $10,500 buy-in for their shot at what will inevitably be a +$1 million grand prize. Of those, approximately 100 remain. (Official names and chip counts of those who survived will be released and posted overnight).
Among the names of players who failed to maneuver through the minefield that was Day 1b include, in no particular order, Vanessa Selbst, Jamie Pickering, Shane Warne, Tony Dunst, Michael Pedley, Andy Lee, Hamish Blake, Grant Levy, Erik Seidel, Chris Ferguson, Stewart Scott, Aaron Benton and Jay Rosenkrantz.
If all of those players went busto, you might be asking yourself who survived. Some of the more recognizable players who'll be joining the Day 2 foray include Van Marcus, Annette Obrestad, Jeff Lisandro, Dani Stern, Andy Lichtenberger, Florian Langmann and Leo Margets.
A few names you might not yet have heard of belong to Chad Wiedenheoft, Jackie Glazier and Kostas Loutzianakis. The common denominator amongst them? Each finished the day well above 100,000 in chips and in great position to make a deep run on Day 2.
Our coverage of the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event resumes in approximately 11 hours from this very moment, when the third and final Day 1 flight invades the Crown Poker Room at 12:30 p.m. local time (or as the trend would have it, shortly thereafter).
Tune in then for more exclusive live updates from the number one show in town (when our site's not down) -- PokerNews.com.
The player under the gun raised to 2,100 preflop and Kristian Lunardi called before Florian Langmann reraised to 5,000 from middle position.

The UTG led out for 3,100; Lunardi and Langmann both called and the dealer produced the turn of the .
The opponent and Lunardi checked to Langmann who fired out 5,000. The other two called, then after the opponent checked on the river , Lunardi pushed his last 20,000 into the middle.
Langmann and the opponent both folded and Lunardi raked in 60,200 in chips. Langmann was crippled down to 9,600 in chips.
With about 10,000 chips in the pot and the board reading , Annette Obrestad fired 5,300. Neil Channing went into the tank, but eventually folded his hand.
Channing is down to 40,000 while Obrestad moved back to 78,000.
The fell on the river; Glazier's two pair with the king kicker was best and the man responsible for eliminating Aussie radio personality Andy Lee has been eliminated.
Meanwhile Ms. Glazier is up to around 130,000 in chips.
After player in middle position opened with a raise to 2,200, Van Marcus called from the next spot over. The small blind also called and the big blind got out of the way.
After flop of , the small blind smoothly tossed out a T5,000 chip as his bet. The middle-position player folded and then Marcus folded as well. "You've got a set," said Van. "Maybe tens at worst."
Marcus then came over to the media table where one his friends is sitting and revealed how badly he can't wait to get out of here. Don't worry Van, the day's almost over.
After a raise to 2,100 and two calls, Florian Langman shipped in his last 18,500 in from the button. The result was a sucession of quick folds and a nice boost for Langman, whose stack grew to 30,000.
