The bling.
The bling.
The event that all of Melbourne, Australia, and the world has been waiting for finally got underway Sunday morning when 233 players took to the felt all in hopes of winning the 2010 Aussie Millions Main Event Championship.

The main attraction was a table draw that consisted of Tom "durrrr" Dwan, Phil Ivey, Billy "The Croc" Argyros, and Leo Boxell. It was Dwan who got the best of the group throughout the early part of the day, with Ivey busting just after dinner break. However, Dwan could not maintain his momentum and slid slowly down the counts as the night progressed.

One of the chipleaders is another young online superstar, Sorel Mizzi. Mizzi got himself rolling when he got it all in with two pair versus a set and was able to river himself a higher full house. He ends the day with about 112,300 and is followed closely by Zach Gruneburg, Karl Marenholz, Andrew Feldman and David Steicke.

Tomorrow, a new set of Aussie Millions Main Event hopefuls will fill the seats in the Crown Poker Room and PokerNews will be there to bring you all the action at 12:30 p.m. GMT +11.
