Glazier Outs Two

Level 7 : 300/600, 50 ante

Jackie Glazier is travelling along nicely after these two hands played out.

Glazier had a player all-in preflop, holding {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} against {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. The {9-Diamonds} in the window almost rattled Glazier, but as the cards were spread to reveal the {j-Spades} all was well. Th rest of the board was blanks and Glazier cruised to 40,000.

A few hands later Glazier again sent a short-stack home, this time waking up with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, too good for {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs} which found no help.

Glazier now has 52,000. After buying in on multiple days, Glazier is looking good to not see the same fate as yesterday.

Benton Busted

Level 7 : 300/600, 50 ante
Aaron Benton
Aaron Benton

It has been a tumultuous time for Aaron Benton, with the last 5 minutes proving a little too exciting.

It all started when our PokerNews reporter came to the action at Aaron Benton's table, with a pool of chips already in the pot, a flop on the board showing {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and Benton against one opponent.

At this point, all of Benton's opponents chips went into the pot and Benton made the call turning over {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}. His opponent turned over {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Benton's flush draw was not quite good enough, so he would need his kings to hold.

The {9-Spades} on the turn changed nothing, but the {3-Clubs} on the river gave Benton's opponent the flush. That pot left Benton with 7,000.

Benton then was down to 1,200 when his {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} could not improve against an all-in players {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

The very next hand Benton tripled to around 4,000 when he caught good with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} against {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

But alas, this story is finally over with Benton couldnt win a race just a few hands later, holding {6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Take a rest Benton, it's been a tough few minutes.

Stick To The Other Game?

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Luke Hodge is one of the best Australian Football League players our country has to offer. He is a Norm Smith medalist, a Premiership medalist and will be the Captain of the Hawthorne Football Club in 2011. He is known for the hard way he plays the game and his natural leadership. He is not known for his poker skills and that is yet to change.

Hodge was short-stacked, with only around 4,000 when he moved all-in on a flop showing {4-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. An opponent called, turning over {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}, Hodge's {6-Spades}{4-Spades} would need help.

Help didn't come with bricks on the turn and river, sending the champion Aussie Rules player home with only a memory.
