Rubie vs. Truong Round 2

In the last hand before the break, action folded to Brendon Rubie and he brought it in for a raise to 50,000, which Tam Truong called from the small blind. It was heads up to the {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{J-Spades} flop, which saw Truong check-call a bet of 51,000. Both players then checked the {5-Hearts} turn.

When the {2-Diamonds} appeared on the river, Truong checked, opening the door for Rubie to fire out a healthy 161,000. Truong though for about 15 second before announcing a call, only to muck when Rubie rolled over {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a runner-runner wheel.

[Removed:551] Elminated in 13th Place ($7,600 AUD)

Another elimination has left the 2012 Aussie Millions opening event with just 12 players and we caught all the action that saw [Removed:551] hit the rail.

Rob Angood opened the action from under the gun and the action was folded to [Removed:552] on the button and he shoved all in. Angood made the call and the two turned their hands over.

Angood: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
[Removed:552]: {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

[Removed:552] needed some help that would never come as the board ran out {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and he would be busted in 13th place.

Manny doubles Through Naz

When Manny Stavropoulos three-bet all in from the small blind, Naz Sibaei would think for many moments before deciding to make the call. Stavropoulos held {kj}{q-Diamonds} and would be flipping against the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of Sibaei.

Board: {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts}

A nice double up for Stavropoulos, While Sibaei takes a hit!

Those Amounts Are Not Typo's

The largest pot of the tournament just played out and has left early chip leader Andrew Capelin with less than a big blind.

It was a three-bet pot that saw a {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop hit the felt. At this point Scott Wilson led for 135,000. After a few minutes thought, Capelin shoved his giant stack all-in. Wilson made the call and the two players turned their hands over.

Capelin: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Wilson: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Wilson would be taking down the huge pot as long as he dodged some bullets. The {9-Clubs} on the turn gave Capelin more outs but when the {3-Spades} hit the river, he was left with just 15,000! Stay tuned for his bust out or double up.

Tony Delavinias Eliminated in 15th Place ($7,600 AUD)

Tony Delavinias was under the gun and shoved for 152,000, which Naz Sibaei called from the small blind. The Day 1c chip leader was in trouble with {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} as his opponent help the superior {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. The {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Spades} was about as unexciting as they come, while the {5-Hearts} turn and {4-Spades} river meant Sibaei's ace-queen high won the pot,

Delavinias was eliminated in 15th place and took a jaunt to the payout desk to collect $7,600 AUD.

Chris O'Donnell Eliminated in 16th Place ($7,600 AUD)

We're not sure of the exact numbers, but we do know that Naz Sibaei opened, Chris O'Donnell three-bet, Sibaei moved all in, and O'Donnell called of after a short time in the tank.

Showdown
O'Donnell: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Sibaei: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}

As we've seen so many time today, it was a coinflip for a tournament life. A crowd gathered around the table as the dealer burned and put out the flop . . . {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} . . . safe as far a O'Donnell was concerned. The {K-Hearts} turn meant O'Donnell needed to survive just one more card to double, but a brutal ace on the river put a dagger through his heart.

O'Donnell was eliminated in 16th place and earned $7,600 AUD for his deep run.

Tino Lechich Eliminated in 17th Place ($7,600 AUD)

Just after having doubled, Tino Lechich open-shoved for around 210,000 and was called by Sherif Derias.

Showdown
Derias: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Lechich: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

It was a classic race, though Lechich needed to catch to stay alive. The {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop didn't hit him directly, but it did add a flush draw to his outs. The {9-Spades} turn was of no use, and neither was the {6-Hearts}. Lechich was eliminated in 17th place and will take home $7,600 AUD.
