Tino Lechich got his stack all in preflop holding and was in great shape against the of Matviy Bilenky. It ended up being a by-the-books hand as Lechich doubled after the board ran out .
Tam Truong opened from early position for around 50,000 and was met with an all-in three-bet by Jackie Glazier from the big blind. Truong made the call and it was off to the races.
Showdown
Glazier:
Truong:
The was a blank for Glazier, as was the turn, and she needed an ace or jack on the river to keep her tournament hopes alive. Unfortunately for her, the appeared on the river. Glazier was eliminated in 18th place for $7,600, which left Tamara Volkoff as the last woman standing.
The original plan for today was to play to a winner, but given the likelihood of that happening anytime soon, the tournament staff has just announced that action will halt at ten players, who'll return tomorrow at Noon to play out the final table.
Given last year's Day 2 lasted until 7 AM before a winner was crowned, we'd say coming back for a fresh start is in everybody's best interest.
A short-stacked Rhys Gregson moved all in under the gun for 91,000 and was called by Scott Wilson in late position, the latter discovering that he was dominated.
Showdown
Wilson:
Gregson:
Gregson was a huge favorite in the hand, but was left uttering an expletive when the flop fell , giving Wilson Broadway! Just like that Gregson went from favorite to looking for a chop or running cards to stay alive. The turn gave meant he could chop with a jack and win with either an ace or queen, but it was not to be as the fell harmlessly on the river.
A dejected Gregson was eliminated in 19th place and has brought us to the final two tables.
Philip Iglesias was down to just a couple of big blinds during the last level and the last time we looked he was no longer in his seat. Iglesias went home in 20th place and finished up with $6,200 for his effort.
The action seems to have plateaued in the last 15 minutes, With only ten minutes to go until the next level, we expect there will be some more eliminations sooner than later.
Jackie Glazier doesn't seem to be distracted by the interesting character at her table as she runs deep in Day 2 of the Opening Event at the 2012 Aussie Millions.

Andrew Capelin raised to 32,000 under the gun and was called by Sherif Derias. When action got to Jackie Glazier in the big blind, she moved all in for 161,000. Capelin thought for a moment before moving all in himself, which prompted Derias to fold.
Showdown
Glazier:
Capelin:
It was a race for Glazier's tournament life, and she managed to survive the flop. Just when it looked as if she might double, the appeared on the turn to give Capelin a flush draw with his overs. Luckily for Glazier, she could breathe a big sigh of relief as the blanked on the river.
She received a much-needed double, through the chip leader nonetheless, and is up to around the chip average.
