On a board of we saw Jason Koon (small blind) and Igor Kurganov (big blind) both check. The hit the turn and Koon check called a bet of 18,000. The river had Koon check. Kurganov tanked for a bit and eventually bet 43,000. Koon snap called and Kurganov mucked. Koon did the same and gathered the chips without showing a card.
We missed the pre flop action but we're pretty sure it was all in the middle before the flop. Drinan had in the hijack and was up against the of McDonald who acted from the big blind. The board ran out favoriting McDonald.
Igor Kurganov raised to 12,000 from the cutoff and Fedor Holz three-bet jammed for 52,500 from the small blind. Jeff Rossiter folded the big and Kurganov made the call.

Mike McDonald shoved all in from the cutoff for his last 42,000 and Connor Drinan called from the small blind. Paul Newey folded his big blind and the two of them showed their cards.

The Poker Hall of Famer was in bad shape, but the flop gave him both a pair and an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for him, he would receive no further help as the blanked on the turn followed by the on the river.
Igor Kurganov opened for 11,000 under the gun and action folded to Steve O'Dwyer, who three-bet all in for 91,500 from the small blind. Jason Koon then called from the big blind and Kurganov got out of the way.

O'Dwyer, who finished fourth in the $25K Challenge two nights back, was in big trouble, and he was left drawing dead on the turn after the board ran out .
We picked up the action on a board of and Jason Mercier checked from the hijack. Byron Kaverman on the button made a small bet of 15,000 and Mercier check raised to 67,500 after he used a time breaker chip first. Kaverman made the call.
The fell on the river and Mercier shoved all in for effectively 147,000 after giving it some thoughts. Kaverman, who had showing, tanked for a long time and eventually tossed in a time breaker chip. He thought some more before putting in his last time breaker chip as well. Eventually Kaverman reluctantly folded his hand.
Mercier had for a stone cold bluff and grabbed the chips in the pot! "What a spectacular bluff!" Somerville called it.
Igor Kurganov got his 147,000-stack in the middel from the cutoff against Jeff Rossiter in the big blind. Kurganov had the best hand with as Rossiter tabled . The board ran out and Kurganov doubled his stack.
Mike McDonald had lost a couple of big pots already and was down to his last 25,500. He got those in with from the big blind against Erik Seidel in the hijack who had . The board ran out and McDonald doubled his short stack. Seidel now short as well.
