Stephen Chidwick raised to 4,500 and Mike Watson called from the cutoff. Ben Tollerene over called from the big blind and checked on . Chidwick checked as well and Watson bet 8,000. Tollerene called before Chidwick shoved all in for about 60,000 or so. Watson used his 30 seconds to decide to shove all in over the top. Tollerene folded.
Stephen Chidwick:
Mike Watson:
The on the turn and on the river were blanks and Chidwick departed already well into the break.
As the freshest player in the field, Sam Trickett has been pretty active, managing to run his stack up to 170,000 with some canny positional play.
However, he has just sent some of these chips Nick Petrangelo’s way. Preflop Trickett made it 4,500 to go from the cutoff and Petrangelo three-bet to 17,000 from the small blind. Trickett made the call taking the action heads-up to a flop of .
Petrangelo led out for 11,500 and Trickett called once again bringing the action to the turn, which came down .
This brought checks from both players and it was off to the river.
After Petrangelo checked Trickett took a stab for 20,000 and Petrangelo did not take long to make the call. Trickett turned over but this was not enough to beat Petrangelo’s .
With just nine players remaining, a table has been broken and just a single table is in play now. If a player (re)enters, they're going back to two tables again.
Mike Watson raised his cutoff and one position over, on the button, it was Fedor Holz three-betting to 17,500. Small blind David Peters shoved for 56,700 and the big blind and Watson folded. Holz thought about it for maybe 20 seconds before he called.
David Peters:
Fedor Holz:
Peters was in good position to double to starting stack, but it wasn't going to be. Holz flopped a set on and did not get in trouble after that with the on the turn and on the river.
Down to just 22,900 in chips, small blind Charlie Carrel shoved all in over the top of the button raise of Mike Watson. Fedor Holz folded his big blind but Watson, somewhat reluctantly, called.
Charlie Carrel:
Mike Watson:
Watson did not immediately hit the flop, but the flop did give him a lot of extra outs. The on the turn was one of his initial ones and the on the river was so too. Carrel eliminated, Watson a bit richer.
David Peters opened the action with a raise to 5,500 from early position and action folded around to Charlie Carrel in the big blind who chose to defend.
Carrel snap checked the flop and Peters continuation bet slightly less than his original open and led out for 4,000, which Carrel tank called.
Both players checked the turn and after Carrel checked for a third time on the river Peters put the British player all in.
Carrel did not look happy but made the fold and is now quite short with a stack of 23,000 while Peters now has around 80,000.
Action folded to Steffen Sontheimer in the small blind and he open-raised. Big blind Mikita Badziakouski shoved for a little over 60,000 and Sontheimer called.
Mikita Badziakouski:
Steffen Sontheimer:
The board brought nothing for Badziakouski with .
Badziaksouski jokingly gave his three remaining time breaker chips to Petrangelo and got up and made his exit.
Straight after getting his kings crushed by Peters’ quad jacks Alexandros Kolonias opened the action with a raise to 5,000 from the cutoff, finding a caller in big blind Fedor Holz.
Holz checked the flop, Kolonias bet 4,000 and Holz made the call.
The turn brought another check from Holz and Kolonias nearly timed out before electing to bet 10,000 and Holz called once again.
The river brought checks from both players and Holz turned over to take the hand.
Left short after doubling up Carrel, David Peters opened the action with an early position raise to 4,500 only to see Alexandros Kolonias three-bet to 11,000 from the button.
Peters had no time break chips left and nearly ran down his allotted 30 seconds before moving all-in for 34,400 in total and was snap called by Kolonias.
David Peters:
Alexandros Kolonias:
Peters spiked top pair on the flop, improved to trips on the turn and just to rub salt into the wound, made quads when the landed on the river.
