Kolonias Ain't Folding No Sevens

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Alexandros Kolonias opened the hijack to 3,500 and his neighbor Mike Watson in the cutoff three-bet to 10,500. Action folded around to Kolonias and he called.

Kolonias check-called 9,000 on {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and check-called another 25,000 on the {3-Clubs} turn. Kolonias checked for a third time on the {3-Diamonds} river and Watson used his full 30 seconds to check behind showing {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Kolonias took it down with {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

Greenwood Squeezes for Victory

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Sam Greenwood opened the action from middle position with a raise to 3,500 and picked up two callers in the form of Mikita Badziakouski and Nick Petrangelo. David Peters then three-bet from the big blind, we missed the amount but Peters threw in a 25k chocolate chip so it could be anything up to that amount.

Greenwood took the full 30 seconds and burned a time breaker chip before announcing he was all-in for 43,800 in total.

Both Badziakouski and Petrangelo folded quickly while Peters used the full 30 seconds before mucking.

Chidwick Ups Aggression, Sontheimer Profits

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised three hands in a row but only won one of them.
Chidwick took down the first preflop with a raise from the button to 3,000 with Steffen Sontheimer making the call from the big blind but folding to Chidwick’s 2,700 continuation bet on a {q-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop.

Chidwick raised 3,000 from the cutoff the following hand with around 70,000 behind but folded when Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 12,000 from the big blind.

In the third hand, Chidwick again made it 3,000 to go with Steffen Sontheimer calling from the button and Nick Petrangelo calling from the big blind to take the action three way to a flop of {2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Both Petrangelo and Chidwick checked before Sontheimer led out for 4,500 from the button. Petrangelo check-raised to 13,000 in total and after Chidwick bowed out Sontheimer made the call.

The {4-Clubs} turn brought a check from Petrangelo and a bet of 36,900 from Sontheimer. This was enough to get Petrangelo to fold and he dropped to 130,200 while Sontheimer climbed to 195,000.

Checking the Nuts

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, small blind Mike Watson check-called a bet of 4,000 from cutoff Ben Tollerene. Both then checked the {A-Diamonds} on the turn and {K-Clubs} on the river. Watson showed {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the flopped straight while Tollerene tabled {J-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for flopped top two. The two of them chopped the pot as it was the Broadway on the table that played.

Carrel's Bluff Fails, Watson Doubles

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, small blind Charlie Carrel and button Mike Watson both checked in what appeared to be a three-bet pot.

The {J-Hearts} hit the turn and Carrel bet 12,000. Watson called in position.

Carrel slid forward 75,000 on the {3-Spades} river and Watson, though not overly excited, called just about instantly for his last 62,700. Carrel showed {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for not much of anything, Watson took it down with "three pair" showing {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}.

Carrel Clips Watson

Level 5 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

We caught the action on the turn in a hand between Charlie Carrel and Mike Watson with 14,500 already in the pot and the board reading {2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

After Watson checked the turn Carrel took nearly the full 30 seconds before firing out a bet of 10,000, which Watson did not take too long to call swelling the pot to 34,500.

Both players checked the {10-Spades} river and as the last aggressor, Carrel showed first, turning over {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Watson pitched his cards into the muck.
