Burns Gets Action With a Straight

Level 17 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Bryn Kenney raised to 135,000 from the hijack with {j-Hearts}{10-Spades} and Kahle Burns flatted on the button with {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Aaron van Blarcum came along, calling with {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} from the big blind.

The {3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Burns a huge draw and he was the only player to call Kenney's 165,000-bet.

The {4-Clubs} brought a straight for Burns. Kenney checked and Burns checked back.

The {q-Clubs} completed the board and Kenney tried one last attempt at taking the pot, firing 645,000. Unfortunately for him, there was no way he could force Burns out from his nutted hand. Burns raised to 2.1 million and Kenney quickly mucked.

Huge Pot to Burns

Level 17 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Michael Soyza raise to 130,000 with {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and got called by Kahle Burns in the hijack with {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Aaron van Blarcum on the button with {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Alex Foxen in the big blind with {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Action checked to van Blarcum on {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades} and he bet 315,000. Both Soyza and Burns stuck around for the {2-Spades} turn. Van Blarcum barreled for 640,000 and Soyza folded. Burns used a time extension then called. Both players checked the {5-Spades} river and Burns added to his lead.

Van Blarcum Doubles Through Burns

Level 18 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Kahle Burns has been on a heater, getting dealt premium hands almost nonstop. He found {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} on the button and raised to 175,000. Short-stacked Sam Grafton folded from the small blind but Aaron van Blarcum peeled {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} in the big blind and he three-bet shoved for 1,030,000. The coin flip went van Blarcum's hand as the board came out {6-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Van Blarcum moved to the second place while Burns remained a commanding chip leader even though he'd lost 13 bigs in the aforementioned encounter.

Level 18 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Kahle Burns made it 165,000 in the cutoff with {k-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Aaron van Blarcum flatted on his button with {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, and Bryn Kenney joined them to the flop from the big blind, holding {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

The three players checked to the river of the {4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Diamonds} board where van Blarcum fired 265,000, having rivered the nut straight. Kenney called with the bottom pair, providing van Blarcum with some value.
