Rafferty Wins Three-Bet Pot

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Tom Rafferty raised in the hijack and called a three-bet to 2,800 from Bjorn Ostby in the small blind. Both players checked the flop for a board of {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Ostby then bet 2,500 and Rafferty called. Both players checked the {4-Hearts}, and Ostby shook his head and showed {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for a missed flush.

Rafferty took it with {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

Sinclair Gets There Against Top Set

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Dzmitry Urbanovich opened to 900 in the cutoff and a player in the small blind made it 2,000. Jack Sinclair called from the big blind and Urbanovich thought for some time before calling as well.

The small blind moved all in for his remaining 6,700 before the dealer rolled out the flop of {10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Sinclair pushed forward enough chips to cover Urbanovich's belongings, and Urbanovich released his hand.

The all-in player tabled {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, but Sinclair was still drawing live with {q-Spades}{j-Spades}. The British pro connected immediately on the {a-Diamonds} turn and faded a board-pairing card on the river as the {5-Diamonds} locked it up for him.

A Welcome Boat for Mr Chidwick

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Stephen Chidwick joined the field after the dinner break and it didn't take him too long to get into a big confrontation at his table. Chidwick opened to 900 under the gun and a player in the cutoff three-bet to 3,000. The big blind cold-called and Chidwick joined them to the flop.

The {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} was checked by all three players but Chidwick bet 2,500 when the {q-Clubs} hit the turn. He received two calls and they saw the {7-Clubs} complete the board. The big blind checked to Chidwick who fired 12,000 and the third player seemed to be interested in making a call. He eventually let his hand go but the big blind tossed in calling chips.

Chidwick showed the {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for a top full house and consequently added a decent amount of chips to his stack.

Nemeth Eliminates One

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante

Picking up the action on the {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{9-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} turn, Andras Nemeth acted in the big blind, battling against a player on the button. There was around 12,500 in the pot and Nemeth asked his opponent to clear the view of his stack. Upon learning that the other player had under 15,000 back, Nemeth bet enough to put him at risk. His opponent eventually convinced himself to call for his tournament life, but he learned some bad news.

Nemeth had {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, dominating {9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} to leave his opponent hoping for just two outs. The {j-Hearts} wasn't one of them and Nemeth delivered a knockout, solidifying his stack to about 95,000.
