Razavi Wins Big Pot Off Tedeschi

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

"In the dinner break on Day 1c, I was down to 4,000," Sam Razavi said and also mentioned he was thinking about just going to bed. However, he managed to spin up the stack once he returned to the seat and the start into Day 2 has also been very pleasing thus far.

Just now, he check-raised a bet of 8,000 by Paul Tedeschi on the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts} river to 25,000 and the Frenchman called. Razavi tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for the full house and that won the pot.

Duce Tank-Calls, Looks Into Top Set

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

On a {2-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} flop, Mike Del Vecchio checked from the big blind and Zachary Duce checked on his left. A player in the middle position bet 2,200, earning a call from Del Vecchio, but Duce had other plans. He check-raised to 8,000. The player behind him called while Del Vecchio waived the white flag.

Duce check-called 10,000 on the {4-Hearts} turn and he checked again on the {3-Spades} river. The other player bet 15,000 and Duce tanked for over three minutes before Del Vecchio called the clock. Duce was given a minute to make his move and he flicked in calling chip just when his 10-second runout started. The other player showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Duce mucked.

Attenborough Punts Off

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

John Chu completed from the small blind and Adrian Attenborough made it 2,500 in the big. Chu limp-raised to an unspecified amount as the action was picked up when two 5,000-denomination chips lied in front of him. Attenborough paused for some time and then jammed his 29,600. Chu wasn't particularly happy about his situation but he called nonetheless.

"F**k," Attenborough laughed, turning up {q-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Chu rolled over {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Attenborough had at least a queen to hope for. Unfortunately for him, he wouldn't get it as the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}.

Updated Counts

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

According to floor staff, Jorryt van Hoof was all in with {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} against the pocket jacks of Bryce Yockey. Two clubs showed up, as did one jack, and van Hoof found no help to bust in the first level on Day 2. Also on the rail are Tyron Krost and Niko Koop.

Hui Clashes With Quoss Just Before Break

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Yunye Lu opened his button to 1,800 and Fabian Quoss flatted in the small blind before Phil Hui squeezed to 9,000 from the big. Lu folded but Quoss called after a thorough study of the size of Hui's stack.

The {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop saw Hui check behind but he fired 14,000 on the {k-Clubs} turn. Quoss check-called.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and Quoss checked one more time. Hui announced he was all in for 30,500 and Quoss spent a couple of minutes thinking, then folded.

Zizic Busts to Yotsushika

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A player opened to 2,100 and Tatjana Zizic just called. Kazuhiko Yotsushika three-bet to 7,000 from the blinds and the initial raiser folded.

Zizic then moved all in for 45,000 and Yotsushika called.

Tatjana Zizic: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Kazuhiko Yotsushika: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

There was an ace in the window of a {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop and Zizic was already getting to her feet in time to see the {8-Clubs} turn and {8-Diamonds} river seal her elimination.

Jetten Bets Out Jett

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

With {3-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} on the table, Peter Jetten checked from the big blind and so did Ben Lamb in the cutoff. Chip Jett bet 4,200 from the cutoff and Jetten called. Lamb gave up. The {q-Spades} hit the turn and both Jetten and Jett checked to the {8-Hearts} river where Jetten fired 15,000. Jett laid his hand down.
