Vekaria's Move Goes Wrong

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Joining the action on the {j-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} turn, Pete Chen called the shove of Rishabh Vekaria for his last 71,000 with 50,000 in the middle by then.

Pete Chen: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Rishabh Vekaria: {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

The {5-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Chen doubled to remain in contention fewer than 40 eliminations away from the money.

Pupillo Folds to a Big Barrel

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Three players saw the turn with {10-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} on the felt and the big blind bet 17,000. A middle player folded but Nick Pupillo called on the button. The river was a {6-Hearts} and the big blind bet much bigger with 100,000. Pupillo tanked around 90 seconds and stared his opponent down intently but gave it up.

Stanley Wu

Stanley Wu was all in with {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} against Jeff Madsen's {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Wu, who last cashed in the Aussie Millions Main Event back in 2012, was all in for 96,000 and his pocket pair held on the {7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}{x-} board with the river bricking to hand Wu the full double up.

Steicke Sticks Around; Yaroshevskyy Doesn't

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Igor Yaroshevskyy ended up all-in before the flop for the last 27,000 and he had found a pair to move in with, turning over the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

David Steicke from one seat over was well ahead, however, tabling the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

Nothing changed on the {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} board as Yaroshevskyy was drawing dead on the turn already.

"Why didn't you reshove? You have a big stack," Steicke joked with Tomas Ribeiro. Indeed, the Pot-Limit Omaha specialist and PLO bracelet winner at the 2019 WSOPE, has the biggest stack on table 27 right now.

Wu Eliminates McKellar with Ace-High

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jack Wu
Jack Wu

Pierce McKellar opened from early position and Jack Wu called in the blinds.

Wu check-called a bet on the {4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop and the turn was the {9-Clubs}. Wu checked and McKellar continued for 20,000. Wu check-raised to 65,000 and McKellar than re-raised all in for 140,000.

Wu snap-called and McKellar was forced to reveal {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for king-high. His opponent turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for ace-high and that held on the {5-Spades} river for him to scoop an enormous pot and soar up the chip counts.

Cohen Loses Flip to Pepper

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Sam Cohen had four-bet shoved in the previous level without being called and her stack remained in the danger zone. Just now, she got it in for 50,000 and was called by big stack Gareth Pepper.

Sam Cohen: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Gareth Pepper: {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

While the {q-Spades} in the window improved Cohen to a pair of queens and the {9-Hearts}{2-Spades} on the flop kept her in the lead, she was drawing dead as soon as the {8-Clubs} fell on the turn. A meaningless {10-Diamonds} completed the board on the river and Cohen was already on her way out of the tournament area moments later.
