Spend Cash, Win Food

Tournament director Danny McDonagh has just made an extraordinary offer to the players in the rebuy tournament.

The conditions are as follows:

The players at the table that registers the most rebuys this afternoon will draw a high-card for a special prize. The will, McDonagh promised, will receive "a small dinner voucher."

Twenty Minutes Left In Rebuy Period

We have twenty more minutes of madness until the rebuy period concludes. Expect plenty of fireworks as players try to build a big stack before the break!

At the break players will have the option of either a single or double add-on, before play will return to some normality!

Martin Comer Disgusted

Martin Comer got his money in on the flop of {6-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and was feeling pretty comfortable with his {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for top two pair. His opponent tabled {A-Clubs}{10-Spades} and was well behind. However the {5-Clubs} on the turn and {7-Clubs} on the river gave his opponent a running nut flush and Comer was disgusted as he reached for another rebuy!

"Oops, I got called!"

Four players called a bet of 200 and the action moved around to the player in the big blind who pushed all in for 2,500 chips with the line "I guess it's time for a rebuy!" The action passed around to well known Internet pro Matt Graham in late position who made the call.

The big blind winces and cries "Oops, I got called!" as he sheepishly opens {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}. Graham shows {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and is well in front. The board of {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades} ensures no bad beat story for Graham as he adds to his chip stack.

"The G" Has Arrived

Tony Guoga, playing in his first tournament of the 2008 Aussie Millions, has already garnered a target from a fellow player at the table and doesn't even know it.

Reza Vakili raked in a huge pot while Tony G was away from the table and was overheard saying, "I wish it was from Tony G."

Dennis Huntly Feels Safe

With the board reading 6-8-9, the opponent of Dennis Huntly moved all in and Huntly had a decision to make. He exclaimed "If you don't have a six, I feel safe" before making call with is A-8. His opponent flipped pocket jacks and Huntly was reaching for rebuy chips until another ace hit on the turn to give Huntly a nice double up. Ironically a third six hit on the river!

Benson Rebuys

When all of the chips went in on the river with the board reading 2-J-4-8-5, Michael Russel flipped over 6-3 for the rivered gutshot straight. Gary Benson cringed and tossed his cards into the muck as he also joined the "Rebuy Club".
