Vandersluis Leads the Rebuy Race

Roy Vandersluis is on the fast track to winning the "Most Rebuys Award." He's already invested over $4,000 into the tournament.

His most recent reload occurred after he got his money in holding pocket queens against Zhi Hong Ma's pocket kings.

Grunter Makes Appearance

Grant Levy, winner of the APPT Grand Final Event in Sydney, has made his first appearance of the 2008 Aussie Millions and we expect to hear a lot from "Grunter" over the next few weeks.

Levy has found himself seated at another exciting table, with well known Australian professionals Karib Karib, Sarah Bilney and Eric Assadourian.

However it didn't take long for Levy to get to work, flopping quads fours for an early double up! When you're hot, you're hot!

The Binger Brothers Have Arrived

No more than two hours ago, Nick and Michael Binger stepped off their plane and made the trek to the Crown. When they arrived their rooms weren't ready yet, so they decided to play in this afternoon's rebuy tournament.

Michael has already taken his seat at the table and he tells us that Nick is on his way down.

Get used to that phrase... we'll be typing it quite a lot during the first couple hours of play.

Jimmy 'gobboboy' Fricke was one of the first players to take advantage of the loose nature of rebuy tournaments. He doubled up early after getting it all in pre-flop holding pocket tens against the A-10 of Roy Vandersluis and eventually making a full house, fives full of tens.
