Lees' Rockets Shoot Down Lewis' Big Slick

Level 22 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Kane Lewis
Kane Lewis

Johan Lees picked up aces and scored a full double-up at the expense of Kane Lewis. All of the chips had found themselves in the middle preflop and the runout of Q810QK had been dealt.

Lewis showed AK for top pair, but that was no good as Lees showed AA for the rockets to boost his stack to around 1,300,000.

Johnson Cracks Aces

Level 21 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Terry Johnson just hit a tasty turn card which brought his stack up to over the two-million mark!

Johnson opened to 85,000 from under the gun and called the button's three-bet of 165,000 to see the 104K flop. Johnson check-called a bet of 170,000 and both checked the J turn.

A 3 on the river saw Johnson put out a bet of 275,000, which the button called quickly.

Johnson then revealed he turned Broadway with AQ, cracking the button's AA!

Carlberg's Cowboys Crush Moodie's Jacks

Level 21 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Ulf Carlberg
Ulf Carlberg

Ulf Carlberg just got a huge double-up with a little help from the Cowboys after getting all in preflop for around 870,000 against Wiremu Moodie.

Ulf Carlberg: KK All in
Wiremu Moodie: JJ

Carlberg was ahead with his pocket kings and extended his lead as the 69K flop gave him top set and a huge grip on the hand. However, a 10 on the turn gave Moodie some outs to spike victory as any queen would complete his straight. Instead, a 6 peeled off on the river and Carlberg doubled up.

Final 100 Players

Level 20 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Just 100 players remain from the huge field of 2,084, with all of the players still in having locked up a payout of A$460.

They won't be satisfied with that, though, as the winner will walk away with a huge A$110,000!

Hay Wins the Flip

Level 20 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Cooper Feltham opened to 60,000 from under the gun and Andrew Hay shoved his stack of 715,000 into the middle from the hijack. David Hirst was in the small blind and committed his stack of almost 900,000, and Feltham folded.

David Hirst: QQ

"It's a flip" stated Hay as he stood up to watch the runout. Some instant service arrived for him as the 107A flop paired his ace, leaving Hirst with just two outs. None of those outs appeared on the 7J runout, and Hay doubled up leaving Hirst with just a few big blinds in his stack.
