Macella Sends Hale to the Rail

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Justin Macella
Justin Macella

A pot was being pushed to Justin Macella as Seville Hale was leaving the tournament area. Macella passed along the details of the hand to PokerNews.

As told by Macella, Hale opened to 1,000 in middle position and Macella three-bet to 3,500 on the button.

Hale called to see a flop of {k-}{4-}{2-}, then checked to Macella who bet 3,000. Hale check-raised to 7,500, Macella moved in and Hale called.

Seville Hale: {k-}{j-}
Justin Macella: {k-}{q-}

Macella had Hale outkicked, and after two blanks on the turn and river, Hale was off to the registration cage for a fresh 30,000 in chips.

Davis Takes Battle of the Blinds

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

Action was folded to Patni Aftab in the small blind and he raised to 1,500. Lamare Davis responded with a three-bet to 4,200 in the big blind.

Aftab called and the duo took a flop of {q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. The players checked and went to a turn of the {a-Hearts}. Aftab checked again, but this time Davis bet another 4,200.

Aftab didn't take long before folding to send the pot to his neighbor.

Holladay's Second Bullet Shrinking

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Dustin Holladay
Dustin Holladay

As he put it, Dustin Holladay "was offered a new seat with a fresh set of chips" just before the break, but unfortunately for him, his new chips are going in the same direction as his old ones.

In a recent hand, after an early position raise from Justin Macella, Holladay three-bet to 4,000 on the button. Macella called and the duo was off to a flop.

It came {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and after Macella checked, Holladay bet 2,500, which Macella called.

The turn brought the {a-Clubs} and Macella checked again. Holladay now bet 4,000, but Macella came back with a check-raise to 13,000.

Holladay frustratedly tossed {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} face up into the muck and the pot was pushed to Macella.

Zinaty Eliminates Sebesta in Huge Cooler

Level 3 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante
George Zinaty
George Zinaty

A massive cooler has sent recent PokerGO Cup event winner Edward Sebesta to the rail and given George Zinaty a big boost to his stack.

After Zinaty opened to 600 from middle position, Donald Graham three-bet to 2,100 in the cutoff. Sebesta now moved in for his last 7,500 on the button.

Now back on Zinaty, he moved in over top for about 22,500, as did Graham for about 27,500, covering both players.

Edward Sebesta: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
George Zinaty: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Donald Graham: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

Graham appeared to be in a dream situation to score a pair of eliminations, but the {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} flop changed everything, giving Zinaty the lead with trip kings.

The {10-Diamonds} gave him a full house and left Sebesta drawing dead, and the {7-Hearts} on the river clinched the hand for Zinaty, leaving Graham with a short stack that would disappear soon after.
