Play Resumed; Registration Closed

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Play has resumed following the break and registration is now, finally, closed. The unofficial entry count is 511, meaning we added 108 entries on Day 2 alone.

Arriving during the break and taking a seat at the last minute we saw Joe Cashen and Esther Taylor, but there were others.

Now no more entries so tables will start to break down quickly.

Here are the chip leaders and a few other counts.

Israelashvili Retakes Lead

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Roland Israelashvili
Roland Israelashvili

Derek Sudell got all-in pre-flop for ~140,000 against Roland Israelashvili, who had him covered. Sudell's {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} was in good shape for a double-up against Israelashvili's {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The board didn't cooperate, however, as it came {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and Israelashvili flopped a set, then rivered a full house to take the pot. He's playing about 400,000 now and once again in the chip lead.

Sudell hit the rail — he still has the option to re-enter, but no indication if he plans to or not.

Day 2 Entrant off to Great Start

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Matt Glantz
Matt Glantz

Matt Glantz entered this event today, skipping all the starting flights, and in 90 minutes has tripled his 40,000 starting stack up to 120,000.

No wonder he has more than $7.1 million in tournament earnings. The surprising thing is that he doesn't have a lot of hardware or titles. His best live cash of $862,837 came with first place in the 2009 EPT High Roller event. He has one WSOP Circuit ring and one Borgata non-Open Series win back in 2011 — only six firsts in 185 reported tournament cashes.

When it comes to bling versus bucks, Glantz lands firmly in the bucks column!

Blinds are up and registration remains open. Players continue to buy in, their 40,000-chip starting stack now representing 33 big blinds.

Wang Cracks Aces to Double

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Yan Wang
Yan Wang

Yan Wang was all-in holding {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} against the {a-Spades}{a-Hearts} of Sumit Kumar, who had him covered.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Wang caught a third king on the turn make a set, then boated up on the river. He doubled through Kumar, who was among the chip leaders at the start of the day.
