Nicholas Verderamo bet 4,000 from the button on a flop of 4♥9♥A♣ and Eun Joo called under the gun.
The turn was the A♥ and Verderamo bet another 16,000. Joo again called, and the 2♥ fell on the river.
Verderamo then bet 28,000, and Joo moved all in for 50,000. Verderamo snap-called and Joo showed J♥J♣ for a flush, but Verderamo had 9♠9♦ for a full house to win the pot and send Joo to the rail.
Matthew Zambanini raised to 3,500 in early position, the small blind moved all in for 25,500, and Zambanini called.

The at-risk player took the lead on the A♥3♣10♣ flop with top pair, and was a card away from a double after the Q♥ turn. The river, though, brought the 5♠ to give Zambanini a set and the knockout.

Upon completion of level eight, the Day 1b field has reached a total of 150 entries and around half of those remain in contention in ther last 15-minute break of the night.
Another two levels will be played before all survivors get to bag and tag their chips for the night.
Logan Eisner raised to 3,600 from the small blind and Michael Lavin called in the big blind. They checked the Q♥J♣4♥ flop to the 8♦ turn on which Eisner checked. Lavin bet 4,500 and instantly folded to a check-raise for 14,000 total.
Kaifan Wang then stole the blinds with a raise to 2,500.
Joseph Foote limped the small blind and Joe McKeehen checked out of the big blind. On a flop of K♠10♦6♦, Foote check-called for 1,200 and they checked the 3♥ on the turn. Foote bet the 8♥ river for 5,000 and then reluctantly paid off a raise to 27,500.
McKeehen tabled the 9♥7♦ for the nut straight to win back some previous losses.
In the meanwhile, Maurice Hawkins and Michael Sydnes were trying to figure out who of the two would buy off the T-100 chips for the upcoming race-off in the next break.
Eun Joo bet 8,000 from the small blind on a flop of Q♣4♥8♠, Tanupat Punjarojanakul moved all in from middle position, and Joo called for her last 23,000.

Punjarojanakul had flopped top pair, but he was behind Joo's aces heading to the turn. The board ran out 10♥9♠, and Joo doubled up.
Amit Agarwal raised to 2,600 and was called only by Boris Kravets. They checked down the 10♦8♠2♦8♣5♦ board and Agarwal announced queen-high before showing his Q♥J♥, which Kravets had beat with the K♠6♠.
One table over, a multi-way pot to the K♣8♣3♥J♠ turn saw Matthew Zambanini bet 4,500. Allison Stoloff pushed all-in and it folded back to Zambanini, who shrugged and folded.
Michael Lavin raised to 2,500 in middle position and Joseph Foote called in the hijack. Maurice Hawkins then three-bet to 15,000 in the cutoff, and Lavin folded. Foote also quickly tossed two tens into the muck.
The next hand, Hawkins three-bet to 7,600 on the button and Joe McKeehen called in the cutoff.
Both players checked to the river on a board of K♠K♣2♥Q♠3♦. Hawkins then bet 15,000, and McKeehen folded. Hawkins flashed two aces as he took another pot.
John McDonald had a raise of 9,000 in front of him on the button before Matthew Zambanini reraised to 32,000 in the big blind. McDonald called, and they went heads-up to the 2♣5♠7♣ flop.
Zambanini then bet 30,000, and McDonald moved all in for 103,700. Zambanini only took a few seconds before calling.

McDonald had Zambanini crushed with his queens, and the board ran out 7♠8♠ to earn him the double up that elevated him to the biggest stack in the room.
