Stefanski Spikes a Set on Action Flop, Cole Celebrates Failla's Bustout

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Will Failla
Will Failla

James Cole raised to 2,500 in the hijack before Dave Stefanski three-bet to 7,700 on the button. "There's 147. I'm 148," Will Failla said, pointing out the number of entries on the tournament clock as he shoved for 36,000 in the big blind.

Cole tanked for a few minutes before folding, while Stefanski snap-called.

Will Failla: AQ All in
Dave Stefanski: 99

"You're both terrible," Cole said after they turned over their cards.

"What, did you fold ace-king? You're dog s**it. You tight ass," Failla replied.

The 9 fell in the window to give Stefanski a set, but it was followed by 56 as Failla picked up a flush draw. The 4 turn was no help to Failla, while the 8 fell on the river to send him to the rail.

"Go home. Get out of here. You talk about me. I still have a stack," Cole said to Failla, and Stefanski had to tell him not to celebrate another player's bustout in a hand he wasn't involved in.

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Xiang Zou
Xiang Zou

In a battle of the blinds to the KQ93 turn, Xiang Zou bet 4,000 and Adam Agaev called. Zou then jam med the 8 river for the 13,100 he had behind.

Agaev mulled it over briefly and called, after which Zou instantly left his seat and briefly exposed the 75 for complete air.

Agaev had the Q5 for a pair of queens to score the knockout on a table filled with notables and big stacks.

Wang is Getting Crushed

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Mitchell Bosch raised to 2,500 and was called by Joe McKeehen in the big blind, who then check-folded the 743 flop when Bosch jammed for around 19,200.

After the hand, Kaifan Wang mentioned that he was "getting crushed" and asked if we had the notes on what happened.

One seat over was Michael Sydnes who had taken most of Wang's chips and insisted that we mention he had spilled his drink.

One hand later, Joseph Foote called an open raise to 2,500 and the K83 flop was checked. Foote bet the 4 turn when checked to for 3,000 to pick up a call. They checked the 2 river and Foote's 98 was no good versus QQ.

Austen Yueh

Mike Dentale raised to 2,500 in the cutoff and Boris Kravets called on the button. Austen Yueh then three-bet to 15,000 in the small blind, and only Dentale called.

The flop came 1025 and Yueh moved all in for 28,000. Dentale had around the same amount behind, and he tanked for a minute before giving up his hand.

"Mikey, what's going on over there?" Nick Palma called out.

More for Vogdes and Zambanini

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Blake Vogdes
Blake Vogdes

In a single-raised pot the AK7 flop was checked before Blake Vogdes bet the 2 turn for 4,400 out of the big blind and Sachin Ramrakhani called in the cutoff.

Vogdes' bet of 9,600 on the 5 river was paid off by Ramrakhani as well, who then mucked when he was shown the A9 by Vogdes.

Moments later, the next table broke after Matthew Zambanini had won a pot on an ace-high board when he "bombed it all the way" to force out his opponent on the river.

"You dropped your pain brush ... that was a piece of art," Vogdes told him when Zambanini racked up his chips.

"I have been running bad for a year," Zambanini replied.

More Re-Entries Incoming After the Dinner Break

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

As can be expected, fewer unique new entries are entering Day 1b after the dinner break with a few notable exceptions. However, the field continues to grow and has already reached 145 entries of which some 80 players remain.

Anton Kalinin and Austen Yueh were both recently knocked out but opted to re-enter, as did Michael Mann who drew the exact same seat.
