Kursevich's Million

Vadzim Kursevich has doubled through Mikhail Lakhitov to reach the one-million chip mark.

Lakhitov made it 35k, Kursevich three-bet to 81k and Lakhitov shoved in. Kursevich made the 500k total call with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Lakhitov would need some help with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

He got some on the {q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds} board, but it wasn't enough, leaving him crippled and doubling Kursevich.

Nanev Takes Care of Another

Rumen Nanev is having a great level and has taken care of another player whilst holding a dominating ace.

There was a raise to 35,000 before Nanev three-bet to 95,000 and Benjamin Saada four-bet all-in for 387,000. The original raiser folded but Nanev tanked and made a great call with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. The Bulgarian has a six-figure stack and a big smile now.

So Long Sowa

Gereon Sowa
Gereon Sowa

German player Gereon Sowa had a great day rising through the ranks yesterday, until he lost a big hand to Martins Adeniya. He's just suffered the same fate as the Brit, in exiting.

He three-bet all-in for 235,000 from the small blind after Rumen Nanev opened to 34,000 fro mid position. The Bulgarian asked for a count and made the call with {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

Sowa opened the dominated {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and his hand stayed that way through the {q-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} board.

Adios Adeniya

Martins Adeniya went all in for 38,000 from the cutoff and Heinz Kamutzki min-raised to 76,000 on the button. Brammer (serving his penalty) obviously did not play his small blind while Mikael Guenni angrily folded his big blind.

Adeniya needed help with {K-Spades}{7-Spades} against Kamutzki's {Q-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and found no help from the {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} board,

Brammer Busts Andrade, Receives Penalty

The action started with Martins Adeniya raising most of his stack, 204,000, from the cutoff. From the small blind, Andre Andrade called all in for less.

Chris Brammer, not realizing that Adeniya had chips behind, called out of the big blind and tabled {A-}{K-}. Adenya, though, still had chips behind. A floor was summoned and in the end, it was ruled that the hand would play out with Brammer calling the 204,000.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Adeniya folded to Brammer's bet. Andrade tabled {A-}{Q-} and found no help from the {9-Diamonds} turn and {9-Hearts} river.

Brammer, meanwhile, was given a one-round penalty for exposing his hand.

Three-Way Action

A three-way all-in has sent Costa Bataille home early and pushed Bruno Jais back into contention.

Jais raised to start the hand, only to see big stack Rob Stain push all in. A short stacked Bataille called all-in for his last 100k, Jais called all-in as well and the hands were revealed:

Stain: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Jais: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Bataille: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Jais' tens held pushing him up close to 600,000.

Ehrhardt Busts Two

[Removed:167] raised to 32,000 in middle position and Jean-Jacques Mars shoved from the cutoff for about 190,000. In the small blind, Julian Kabitzke four-bet shoved for about 255,000 total. Ehrhardt snap called and tabled {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}.

Mars was well behind with {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, while Kabitzke was drawing slightly better with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. However, the board came down {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs} to score the double elimination.
