One Greenwood Out; Killeen as Well

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Kevin Killeen
Kevin Killeen

The departure of Sam Greenwood not long ago means that just Luc is still in among the three brothers that participated in the event. And Kevin Killeen has also just been sent to the rail a few minutes prior to the end of the level.

Killeen started the hand with around 80,000 chips and Timothy Adams defended his big blind to check-raise the flop {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} flop. Killeen moved all in and was called.

Killeen: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Adams: {7-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {7-Diamonds} turn changed not much, but the {10-Clubs} river gave Adams a straight and sent the Irishman to the rail.

"You Can't Win with That Hand"

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Luiz Duarte raised and picked up one caller in Dietrich Fast from one seat over. Duarte's continuation bet on the {8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop for 13,500 was called by Fast, who then took the opportunity on the {6-Spades} turn as his opponent had checked. The German bet 32,000 and Duarte check-called before checking again the {4-Diamonds} river.

Now Fast bet a hefty 68,000 with slightly more behind and Duarte eventually called with {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} to better the {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} of Fast.

A few minutes later, Connor Drinan shoved for 33,800 from the cutoff and Dominik Nitsche called on the button, turning over {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. "You can't win with that hand," Fast joked and Nitsche replied "I played it better than you."

Drinan had the {A-Spades}{2-Clubs} and held up with the board running out {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Srinivasan Left Short

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

A raising war between the two Canadians Shyam Srinivasan and Francois Billard ended up with the latter being at risk for his last 151,000, holding pocket queens. Srinivasan had the two overs in {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} but failed to get there on a board of {J-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. That sent Srinivasan all the way below starting stack and he will have less than 10 big blinds for the next level.

Lebedev With The River Call

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a river of {5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} Luc Greenwood had bet 65,000 and Lebedev looked to be faced with a tough call. He finally made the call and Greenwood winced as he turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for just ace-high. Lebedev flipped over {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a flush and scooped the pot to take him over 600,000.

Fast Doubles

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The hot run of Dominik Nitsche has been halted for now while Akin Tuna and Vladas Tamasauskas increaded their stacks. Nitsche raised from the cutoff and Jacob Bazeley three-bet the button for 25,000. Dietrich Fast then four-bet all in for 62,200 and Nitsche called, Bazeley folded.

Fast: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Nitsche: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The battle of the German saw Fast get up from his chair before the flop fell {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Middle set held up, as both the {A-Clubs} turn and {K-Clubs} river blanked.

Stern Busts; Palma Doubles

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Zvi Stern lost the race with his short stack and departed whereas Nicholas Palma just got his stack of 119,900 in out of the small blind with the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Luc Greenwood looked him up with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and the board ran out {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and the quads of Palma scored a double.

He even threw in a little needle with "This time you even had a hand, not like king eight and ace deuce."

Radoja Busts Zisimopoulos

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

It seems like Zisimopoulos is in a hurry to get out of here. Moments after he moved all-in over a William Arruda open, he four-bet jammed 90,000 from the hijack, over a Mark Radoja three-bet from the button. Radoja thought before making the call.

Radoja: {q-Spades}{9-Spades}
Zisimopoulos: {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The board ran {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Zisimopoulos exited swiftly

Zisimopoulos and Loosli Shove

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

William Arruda raised to 8,500 chips and Georgios Zisimopoulos moved all in for just over 15 big blinds to enforce a fold.

One table over, Kevin Killeen made it 9,000 to go from the hijack. Diego Ventura three-bet to 23,000 from the cutoff and Sylvain Loosli then moved all in out of the small blind. Whereas Killeen quickly let go, Ventura asked for a count and then folded when it was determined to be 148,000 in total.

Down to 48 Players

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Rui Ferreira was among three players to leave their chair and reduce the field to the last 48 players. He got it in with the {A-Spades}{8-Clubs} against Mark Radoja's {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and failed to improve on a board of {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

While Radoja approaches half a million in chips, Dominik Nitsche has extended his lead and Felix Bleiker also moved up as well.
