Muehloecker on a Nub

Level 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Thomas Muehloecker defended big blind from a Tuan Tran button min-raise and they saw a {3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop. Muehloecker checked, Tran bet 6,000 and Muehloecker made it 18,000. Tran called and then called 32,000 on the {9-Clubs} turn. On the {10-Clubs} river, Muehloecker needed to think and used an extension before firing 72,500. Tran thought a bit and dropped in calling chips.

Muehloecker showed {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a missed flush and Tran tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, singing his trademark tune.

"If you push all in, instant call," he declared. "Because you bet this, I think."

Grafton Holds With Aces

Level 5 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Sam Grafton & Steve O'Dwyer
Sam Grafton & Steve O'Dwyer

Steve O'Dwyer raised to 6,000 from under the gun and was called by Luc Greenwood in the cutoff. Action folded to Sam Grafton in the big blind who three-bet to 35,500. O'Dwyer contemplated for a bit and then called while Greenwood folded.

The flop came {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, Grafton put out a bet of 25,500 and O'Dwyer announced all-in putting Grafton at risk if he called. Grafton snap-called with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} and O'Dwyer held {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

The rest of the board was completed with the {6-Clubs} on the turn and the {10-Spades} on the river to keep Grafton ahead with the higher pocket pair. After counting out his stack, the dealer confirmed Grafton would double up for 165,500 in total.

Eibinger Makes the Right Call

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Martin Winkler raised to 4,000 from the hijack and was called by Ahadpur Khangah in the cutoff. Matthias Eibinger three-bet to 27,000 from the big blind and only Winkler called.

The flop came {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, Eibinger check-called the 37,000 bet of Winkler.

The turn was the {j-Spades}, Eibinger checked again. Winkler now bet 55,500 and Eibinger called after a while.

The river completed the board with the {6-Diamonds}, Eibinger checked for the last time. Winkler fired another bet over the line, now for 110,000. Eibinger put his headphones back on while contemplating his options and then put in a chip for the call. Winkler didn't respond for a few seconds until some other players pointed out he had to show first. Winkler then looked at his cards once more before mucking them.

Tran Doubles Through Adams With River Call

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Tuan Tran
Tuan Tran

Tuan Tran checked in the small blind and called 15,000 from Timothy Adams in the cutoff on {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Tran checked. Adams thought until the end of his 30 seconds then slid in enough to put Tran at risk for his last 60,000 or so. Tran thought briefly and flicked over a chip.

Adams showed {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a bluff and Tran rolled over {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}.

"I think you bluff," Tran said. "That's why I call."

"Looks like it," Adams said with a smile.

Tran Shoves on Vieira Now

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The flop read {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds} with 14,000 in the middle already.

Tuan Tran had checked in the big blind and Joao Vieira bet 5,000. Tran raised to 15,000 and Vieira called.

The turn was the {3-Diamonds}, now Tran shoved for 44,500. Vieira tanked, using a time bank card, and then decided to fold.

Two Doubles

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Andras Nemeth got his 162,500 in preflop from the cutoff over what looked to be a squeeze raise from Martin Winkler in the blinds. Winkler called with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} but lost the race to {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} as {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades} rolled off the deck.

At another table, the board read {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Tuan Tran had bet 33,000 and was facing a shove from neighbor Joao Vieira in the cutoff. It was 137,000 total and Tran announced a call. Unfortunately for him, he was stone dead with {q-Spades}{10-Clubs} against {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}.

Helppi Hits Quads

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Sam Grafton raised to 5,000 from mid-position and was called by both Steve O'Dwyer in the hijack and Michael Addamo in the cutoff. Juha Helppi three-bet to 30,000 from the big blind and only O'Dwyer and Addamo called.

The flop came {a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, Helppi bet 35,000 and now only Addamo went along to see the turn.

They both checked through the {10-Spades} so the {k-Spades} on the river could complete the board. Helppi now bet 56,000 and Addamo dived into the tank. After using two time bank cards, Addamo called and mucked when Helppi showed {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for the flopped set of kings which he improved to quads on the river.

Winkler Busts Fatehi

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Martin Winkler put in a three-bet preflop to 16,000 and saw a {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop three ways. Ali Reza Fatehi jammed into him for 61,000 and Winkler raised to 250,000 to isolate.

Martin Winkler: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Ali Reza Fatehi: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

The {k-Hearts} turn and {7-Spades} river meant the ace kicker played and Fatehi was busto.
