Thomas Takes From Gonzales

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

A raise to 1,300 by Julian Thomas was called by big stack Jose Gonzales in the big blind and the Argentinian check-called a continuation bet for 1,500 on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} flop. On the {J-Hearts} turn, Gonzales checked once more and Thomas fired a second barrel worth 3,500, Gonzales called.

Both players checked the {6-Diamonds} on the river and Thomas showed {J-Spades}{10-Clubs} for two pair to claim the pot.

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

On the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, Reeves continued for 4,500 and Noda called. Reeves then made it 15,200 to go on the {4-Clubs} turn and Noda looked over at the stack of his opponent and sent his cards into the muck.

Three-Way All In

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Nicola D'Anselmo raised to 1,800 and Clement Delacroix three-bet to 6,000. Hon Cheong Lee was in the big blind and was short-stacked and he moved all in for 6,300. D'Anselmo moved all in himself for 17,700 and Delacroix called putting two players at risk.

Nicola D'Anselmo: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Clement Delacroix: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Hon Cheong Lee: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Lee was ahead, and Delacroix would have to come from way back to eliminate two players. As it so happened, the hands all held up on a {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Clubs} runout, with Lee tripling up and D'Anselmo doubling up.

Small Pot for Klatt

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Andreas Klatt finished runner up to Raffaele Sorrentino here at Monaco just one year ago and sits not far away from his career highlight right in front of the feature table.

Klatt made it 1,200 to go from under the gun and was called by Guy Goossens as well as Jan-Eric Schwippert in the big blind. On a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, Schwippert checked and subsequently folded to a continuation bet of 1,500 by Klatt, while Goossens called. The {K-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river was checked through and Klatt tabled {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a flush. Goossens showed his {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for two pair and remains on two times the starting stack after entering the event at the very end of level six.

Other notable stacks from the table including Stephen Chidwick on his second bullet can be found below.

Camarda Left Short; Lodge Gone

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Salvatore Camarda was involved in a three-way pot to the {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop and checked out of the small blind, as did PokerStars qualifier Carl-Fredrik Tingvall in the big blind. Luis Fernandez bet 2,400 from under the gun and Camarda was the only caller.

On the {6-Hearts} turn, Camarda checked and called a second barrel worth 3,800 before checking again on the {8-Clubs} river. Fernandez bet 2,200 and Camarda called with the question "two pair?" on his lips. Fernandez had better than that, tabling {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a set, and Camarda was left with dust.

Harry Lodge was left with even less, and the cards had already been rushed away with his chips being pushed over to Georgios Vrakas.

Klatt Among Casualties

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Andreas Klatt was among several well-known players to hit the rail, his ace-queen ended up second-best to the ace-king of Mark Demirdjian and thatr vaulted the Canadian back into the top spot. Brian Altman and Vlado Banicevic are slowly but surely also getting there with six-figure stacks while Orpen Kisacikoglu and Kenny Hallaert both busted for a second time.

Healthy Stacks for Drozd and Vrakas

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board Georgios Vrakas bet 2,000 and opponent Ondrej Drozd called. The river was the {3-Spades} and Vrakas bet 4,000. Drozd called again, but mucked when Vrakas showed {5-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks.

Both players now have healthy stacks of 70-80,000 as the level draws to a close.
