Kebe Bets Big on the River

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jimmy Kebe has chipped up some more since we last walked past his table. He was in a hand just now that began with an early position open to 600 and Kebe called in middle position. There were two other callers, one behind and one in the small blind, making it four-handed to the flop.

It was a draw-heavy {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop and when the preflop raiser checked, Kebe made a small 700 bet. It got two players out but the initial raiser came along.

The {10-Spades} turn brought a one card straight possibility as well as a second flush draw and both players checked. The last card out was the {6-Hearts} and when checked to again, Kebe put 7,100 over the line, almost double the pot. It convinced his opponent to pass and Kebe adds some more to his stack.

Geller Chips Up

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

On the river of a board {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, Maya Geller in the under-the-gun position and the player in the big blind invested 2,000 each and the big blind flipped over {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for top pair. Geller had turned two pair with {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and continued her decent start into Day 1b.

Ho Doubles Through Liow

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante
Maria Ho
Maria Ho

There were four players in on a {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} flop and Marcuss Liow lead for 800 into the pot. Only Maria Ho called, who was playing on his direct left, and they went heads up to the turn.

It was the {3-Hearts} and Liow check-raised Ho's 3,500 bet to 11,000. Ho checked her cards and made the call. On the {7-} river Liow checked again and Ho moved all-in, which Liow snap-called.

Maria Ho: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Marcuss Liow: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Gozlan Jams Into Petleshkov

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Nathan Gozlan raised to 300 and was called three ways by Scott Wellenbach, Shakhabiddin Muradov, and Viliyan Petleshkov. On a flop of {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}, only Petleshkov check-called a bet of 400 and the {10-Clubs} turn was checked. After the {q-Diamonds} river, Petleshkov made it 2,000 to go and he folded to the push of Gozlan.

One For Wellenbach

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Sergio Castelluccio raised to 1,800 from the big blind and Scott Wellenbach was the only caller on the button. The flop was {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Castelluccio check-called 2,800 from the Canadian. Both the {j-Clubs} turn and {9-Hearts} river got checked back and forth.

Castelluccio showed {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}, Wellenbach revealed {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and won the hand.

Papazian Back Where he Started

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

Alexandru Papazian had made some headway from the 30,000 starting stack but he is back to where he started after losing a pot against Toni Zengovski.

The board read {7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Clubs} and after a check from Zengovski, Papazian bet 3,600 into a 5,500 pot. Zengovski made the call and turned over {8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, which was good to take the pot against Papazian's {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}.
