'Tis the Season for Snowmen; Pardo Eliminated

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Artur Martirosian opened from under the gun and Vladimir Troyanovskiy three-bet to 13,500. Both Chin Wei Lim and Tsugunari Toma called in the blinds before Martirosian four-bet to 46,000.

Troyanovskiy then five-bet to 95,000 and Lim, Toma and eventually Martirosian eventually folded. Troyanovskiy flashed an {8-} and mucked his hand.

"It's snowman season!" said tablemate Sam Grafton.

Meanwhile, Juan Pardo was eliminated by Steve O'Dwyer. The Spaniard held {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} against O'Dwyer's {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The board was {k-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Pardo's last 70,000 chips headed to his opponent.

Li's "Got Badziakouski's Number"

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened to 4,500 and Yuan Li three-bet to 14,500 on the button. Mikita Badziakouski four-bet to 43,000 from the small blind and Troyanovskiy folded. Li called and the flop was {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Badziakouski continued for 35,000 and Li raised to 66,500. The raise was too little, so it was amended to 70,000 and Badziakouski called.

The turn {k-Spades} and river {3-Spades} were both checked.

"Nines?" asked Li as Badziakouski turned over {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Li duly turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks and took down the pot.

Eibinger Runs Into Aces

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Matthis Eibinger raised it up in middle position and Timothy Adams three-bet to 14,000. Juan Pardo stuck in a four-bet to 36,000 and Eibinger five-bet shoved all in for 114,000. Adams re-shoved all in over the top and Pardo let his hand go.

Timothy Adams: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Matthias Eibinger: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The flop of {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} left Eibinger drawing slim to Adams' aces. However, the {q-Clubs} on the turn gave him four outs but the {6-Diamonds} bricked off on the river.

All the Way to the Top

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Michael Soyza opened to 4,500 from under the gun and and Matthias Eibinger re-raised to 16,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Soyza called to see a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. Soyza checked to Eibinger who continued for 24,000 and Soyza called.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} which slowed the action as both players checked and the {8-Hearts} on the river put a straight on the board. Soyza led out with a small bet of 20,000 and Eibinger flicked in a call as his time was expiring. Soyza tabled {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a straight all the way to the jack and Eibinger conceded the pot.

Davies Jumps Back In

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Seth Davies was the second elimination of the day, but he has become the first re-entry in the €50,000 Super High Roller. He has been seated, purely randomly of course, in the exact same position between Derek Ip and Ben Heath.

Helppi Gets Three Streets

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Juha Helppi raised to 4,000 in the cutoff and Matthias Eibinger defended from the big blind. The flop came {10-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} and Eibinger check-called a bet of 6,000 from Helppi.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Eibinger tapped the table again. Helppi tossed in another bet of 17,000 and Eibinger stuck around to see the {8-Hearts} on the river. Eibinger check-called another bet of 37,000 and Helppi turned over {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} which got Eibinger to muck his cards.

Updated Chip Counts

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Confirmed Schedule Change

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

After some deliberation between the players and tournament staff, they have agreed to amend the Day 1 schedule to just six levels of play. Due to prior commitments from the majority of the players, it will be a shortened day which will result in late registration remaining open for two levels on Day 2.

Badziakouski Pulls the Trigger

Level 3 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Artur Martirosian opened to 4,000 from under the gun and Vladimir Troyanovskiy called in the hijack. Mikita Badziakouski three-bet to 25,000 in the small blind and Tsugunari Toma four-bet to 66,500 in the big blind after using a time extension.

Martirosian and Troyanovskiy quickly folded while Badziakouski went into the tank for over a minute. After two time extensions, Badziakouski unleashed the words "all in". Toma asked for a count that was delivered as 275,000 and Toma sent his cards to the muck.
