Huge Double Up for Toma Leaves Wang on Crumbs

Level 2 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Tsugumari Toma
Tsugumari Toma

Tsugunari Toma opened from under the gun and Yang Wang three-bet on the button. Toma called and the two players saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}. With around 15,000 in the middle, Toma checked to Wang who tossed in a bet and Toma check-raised to 28,000. Wang called and the {4-Spades} landed on the turn.

Toma led out with a bet of 55,000 and Wang used a time extension before making the call. The river was the {8-Spades} and Toma sized up a bet of 105,000. Wang moved all in for 170,000 and Toma called off his stack of 164,000.

Wang flipped over {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} but Toma held {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for a better kicker. Toma scored a full double up while Wang is now down to just 6,000 chips.

It Gets Better and Better for Grafton

Level 1 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer and Sam Grafton were heads-up in a pot that already had over 60,000 in the middle. The dealer spread the flop of {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and O'Dwyer check-called a bet of 24,000 from Grafton.

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and both players checked to the {8-Hearts} on the river. O'Dwyer checked for the third time and Grafton used a time extension before counting out a bet of 68,000. O'Dwyer used a time extension of his own and finally made the call. Grafton tabled {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for the nut flush and O'Dwyer mucked.
